And if Leeds had kept their decent record against Hull FC at home and Salford away we could be 4points clear from the rest at the bottom.

Anyone seen The Printer now this Leeds Bull has been dispelled ?
Ninth best watched match is Leeds best (and that was against Saints) and Leeds are on every week at that !

| Quote ="christopher"Apart from Winning it less than 2 years ago that is.
Look we are a poor team at the moment and there's many factors that has led to us being in the position we are in, if we finish bottom we deserve to go down, its as simple as that.
I just don't think that would be a good thing for SL, losing the best supported club in one of the biggest cities isn't good IMO I would say this if it was any of the so called 'bigger clubs' as well, losing Warrington, Wigan, Saints, Hull FC, Catalan, Cas would not benefit SL.
I don't particularly want London to go down as it will be a shame.
Personally I think it's actually a great opportunity to go to 14 teams, I'm not even sure who would be complaining about it. Let's say SL announce today that relegation is scrapped and we are going to a 14 team league for next year with straight home and away fixtures. No one goes from SL so we keep London (and yes Leeds) Toronto automatically gain promotion and the championship playoff goes from 1-5 to 2-6.
Who loses out in that scenario? the Championship clubs now have a better shot at promotion, SL keeps its teams including London who can build on the 'Success' of this year and Toronto come in plus another Championship side.
The idea of relegation in SL is inherently flawed as we don't have an even handed fixture list at the moment.'"
And the scenario highlighted should not be dismissed, and I am sure it has already been discussed !

Shouldn’t believe everything you read. Check BARB and straight away one week early stands out.
That article says Round 2 Hull vs Cas got 128k....it actually got 150k
Whilst Wigan vs Leeds the next night apparently only got 119k....no it didn’t it got 186k

Grateful for a link if you have one to compare, given the info in the link provided advises it's a different measure (i.e. only counts one channel not two)
So on having access to figures, do you still maintain that Leeds on TV can potentially double the viewing figure?

All on the Barb site if you want to go look it’s easy to navigate. I know they only counted one channel (Sky Sports Arena) which is why their numbers are wrong and stupid to claim they’re the most watched matches.
128k watched Hull vs Cas on Arena plus 23k on another Sky Sports channel, so more people did NOT watch that than the combine 118k on Arena and 60k+ plus on another channel who watch Wigan vs Leeds.
Whoever complied these pee poor numbers also missed out Wakey vs Leeds on 7th June which was 80k+ plus onSky Sports Arena alone yet missing although theirs a few games in the 70k’s included.

I didn’t say they would double the audience I just offered a hypothetical question, of one match gets 150k and another gets 75/100k which would Sky prefer.

I have tried to get into the BARB site but no luck sorry, keeps asking me to subscribe. I could argue that having London or anywhere with more A/B type audience rather than Leeds would be more attractive to Sky in terms of reach and audience but again hypothetical.

| Theirs also 2 occasions where Leeds games got shafted by late changes to Leeds Utd games being moved to tv.
Sky moved Leeds vs Norwich to an evening kickoff when Rhinos were playing Warrington at the exact same time on the opening Saturday and a few weeks later they moved Leeds vs West Brom forward to Friday night 7:45 kickoff directly clashing with Leeds vs Wakefield....both will have taken substantial numbers of the Rhinos games viewing figures.

Hypothising again sorry, and not the best argument that people who add to the viewing audience only do so when the footballs not on.
I'm not anti Leeds by any stretch but I'm failing to see any proof that Sky would reduce a TV deal for hypothetical viewers who would watch the football team if forced to make a choice.

Those two Leeds Utd games in question got around 300k each, hardly a stretch to say 10-20% at a conservative guess (and not including fans who attended the game) would’ve watched the Leeds Rhinos match instead which would’ve made a good jump in figures.
The guys numbers are flawed from the start. To measure how many people watched England in the Cricket World Cup Final the other week would you use only Sky figures or combine them with those who watched on Channel 4? Not just Leeds either as he undersells Saints vs Wigan opener as it actually got 240k not the 180k or so he claimed. Just rubbish research from the guy. All he’s shown is the best watched match on Sky Sports Arena ONLY, however some games are on both Sky Sports Arena and Sky Sports Main Event. Then some are on both Sky Sports Arena and Sky Sports Mix. Some are just solely on Sky Sports Arena and those will get better numbers because their total isn’t spread across two channels.

| Well I have scoured the Barb website and the onlu data that the public can access ended September 18 for weekly viewing figures. I therefore deduce that Printer is looking at last years vieweing figures and that the esteemed loverugby publication are in fact correct.

Well Printer three of us have tried and failed to find your data, it's simple really if you have it post it, as you say it only takes a couple of minutes.
As for Leeds United on telly you want to try living in the shadows of Footballing Giants.

I deduce you aren’t the brightest if you can only find figures from 10 months ago on a site that updates figures weekly.
https://www.barb.co.uk/viewing-data/fou ... dashboard/
There you go, all you have to do is enter the date on the calendar, in this case the week ending 10th Feb and then when it comes to selecting channel, press clear all channels and then type Sky Sports Arena in and search. That’ll give you the figures for Hull/Cas and Wigan/Leeds that the article listed, but then search again this time for Sky Sports Mix.

| This is a very interesting battle as per OP
but this is how RL was introduced to me and i loved it , yeah my team went down once then when Dave Topliss took the top job the yoyo tag disappeared. But being in many relegation battles I can confirm they are as important as the top of the league.
The last time Wakefield sold out was the do or die tie vs Castleford.
Relegation sells
If there was none then all teams from Wakefield down would have put the cue on the rack for 2019.
IMHO bring back 2 up 2 down

It was hard enough to get SL clubs to agree to 1 up 1 down. There's no way they'd agree to 2 relegations a season
