You are slipping, thats simply not true

Last season Wakefield finished 13th, the team has been rebuilt from scratch by Richard Agar and James Elston and we will improve over the current franchise period, both on and off the pitch.
If you are so confident that this is not going to be the case, perhaps we should have some form of wager.
You seem to have a major problem with Wakefield and to a lesser extent (slightly) with Mr Agar.
Perhaps you should explain just why this is the case or seek medical assistance

You are alledgedly spending much more on players this year you should expect to improve.

Why don't you and the many posters ,who want to write about me, actually try dealing with a few facts. if you think agar did a good job at hull and recruited well why not explain it. If you think still having 9/10 non UK players is good practice lets hear why? Or maybe all you can mange is name calling.

That is priceless. The defence of Agar is that the club signed around around 9 players without any reference to the actual / prospective head coach. What happened? Was Elston running around like a kid in a sweet shop spending 'sugar daddy Glover's money?

Players are available only for a short time and to wait until the new coach was not an option, unless we were to have a further season with basically an "A" team.
The expected loss of our SL licence meant that many players had signed for other teams, therefore the wafer thin squad of last season would have been thinner still.
So, yes, the club is well run and Mr Agar was the best applicant for the job.
Move on and support your own team.

Plenty of choice. For a start you could appoint a new coach much sooner. I assume this did no occur to your CEO

It would appear that whiever is responsible for signings at wakey there is still a preference for overseas players rather than bring young players through. Shame.

I don't really want to get into a discussion with you, but, there is as little evidence to suggest it wouldn't happen as there is to suggest it would.

Take a look at his record at Hull in one of the best resourced clubs in SL. He had every possible advantage and failed miserably. That is evidence. Do you think any other CEO in SL would have appointed Agar?

Probably not. Do you think any other CEO (like the one at Hull) would stick their nose into the day to day coaching and selection of players as much? What happened at Hull can not be used as evidence as what will happen at Wakefield. The two clubs are massively different in so many way's it's like comparing chalk and cheese.

I agree that it must be tempting for the CEO to tamper when the head coach is so obviously out of his depth.

The issue of CEO's being involved in selction is an interesting one. according to one wakey poster on here Elston made decisions on who to sign for half the newbies



I do not think being the head coach at one SL club is completely unrelated to being head coach at another. But if we accept your point that they are chalk and cheese.....what basis was there for giving Agar the job, other than personal friendship or a 'hunch'?

Someone lock this thread; Cripesginger is the fourth or fifth incanartion of a poster who only ever contributes to stick the boot into WTW in an egregious and usually dishonest way; I think Ted once snubbed her advances and she's never recovered.
