| That and he's misinformed. Look at the Leeds 'sellout' and note empty sections other than the terracing. The 10,500 includes parts of the seating that arent used too due to policing and whatnot, now try again

| Good effort with those screenshots!
Get one of the Sky Sports big screen during the same match and check out the amount of weeds growing out of the crumbling brick steps in front of it.
The Wrexham ground staff might be a bit strapped for cash but a bit of roundup weedkiller wouldn't go amiss.

After 140 years you are pulling 6,000? Your not exactly putting up a strong case mate!

| Eric Roberts stand (away fans behind the posts and a generous estimate of 500) holds around two thousand, so your 1/3 each argument is shot for a start or do you think that the stand along the width of the pitch holds the same as the stand along the length? So that means you have to count 2500 in the two remaining stands and find Wally while you're at it.

You would actually have a valid point.
If it weren't for you being a troll.
Bad luck.

| How can anyone possibly work out if the attendance figures are correct without showing a picture of the Mold Road Stand? There were a fair few Castleford fans as well as the Crusaders regulars and season ticket holders in this stand?

| So, this thread has degenerated into an argument into whether the crowd was 1,500, 2,000, 3000, maybe a few more.
However, could someone explain to me how a S.L club can manage financially on such low crowds?
Iām sure there are a number of players on relatively small contracts, but, quite a few will be on decent money.
Are we to believe that if the Crusaders average around 4000 supporters the club can break even?
If so, big congratulations must go to the BOD, to manage on such a small income from attendances.
If however they are losing money, who will pick up the tab, ala some clubs Sugar Daddy's

| I'm guessing they've got a good accountant or they will be going bust at the end of the season, or someone is picking up the tab.
If Quins are losing 2 million english pounds a year with similar crowds it doesn't bode well for the Welsh club
I find it very hard to believe that the crowds are enough to support a full time professional squad / staff. I reckon Wakefield will only just be scraping by and the crowds there are much better, and they have a weaker squad. Obviously they now have a wealthy backer.
Obviously people will defend the Crusaders to the death on this forum, I'm sorry but I just don't see how they will manage financially, no doubt I will be labelled a 'flatcapper' and the pro expansion brigade will hold a shotgun to my head, but once you take the blinkers off and think about the situation you might find there has to be a massive void of money that will have to be filled in by someone.

Does anyone ever make use of the corporate stuff at Crusaders? I can't see it happening personally.
Quins lose 2 million a year... seriously.. how on EARTH do they keep going?
If I was bankrolling them and they were costing me that amount of cash I'd be distinctly unimpressed.

| A wealthy backer. The Quins owner deserves an award for services to RL; year before was 1.6 million I think.
Crusaders have such a tiny wage bill in comparison to many teams.
Hull KR often tout the magic 10,000 to break even agreed? Crusaders' wage bill is half easily and the tickets in the main stands are Ā£20 and Ā£25, hence the 4,500 (roughly).
The other thing of note is that the clubs received an increase in TV monies a couple of years back and accounts are always a year behind, i'd be curious to see published accounts for last year could anyone point me to them? I heard Cas made a profit?

| From looking at the highlights I would say the gate is about right.
500 Cas fans about 800 in the main stand and about 1500 in the new stand.
Dont forget season tickets count even if you dont turn up.

I am starting to think that some people on here believe that if you repeat a blatant lie enough times it will somehow become a truth
Since 2003 I have asked for proof of any such bail out......I have never seen any.
As for PHIPSS being stunned that Quins ship about 2 million a year.........how do you think The Melbourne Storm would have faired if they weren't owned by the Broadcaster Partner and equal shareholder in the NRL up until this year?
London RL was never given any assistance....if it weren't for David Hughes I honestly believe there would be no SL club in the capital and ther SLY TV deal would be for considerably less than it is.
