The Broncos because they were the first Australian team I knew after the 1994 game Wigan played.

I will be supporting South Sydney and reigning champions PNG Hunters in the Southern Hemisphere competitions.

The tv coverage down under is now staggering. All 8 NRL games, 2 New South Wales Cup games and 1 Queensland Cup game, giving a total of 11 games are shown on tv each week.

I don't mind who is playing as long as its enjoyable to watch.

Commentators are better than the dross we have, and i get to see how much a KFC bargain meal is when the game goes to the 'bunker'

Usually look for the Brisbane Broncos result purely because of the Wally Lewis connection. I had a replica number 6 Broncos shirt in 1988 when they were pretty hard to come by.

I would have thought that the similiar jerseys of St. George-Illawarra and St. Helens would have made St. Helens fans choose St. George-Illawarra.

From this year we have the additional factor of former St. Helens player James Graham playing for St. George-Illawarra.

Any St. Helens fans want to comment?

Always followed Eastern Suburbs seen them on tv once when I was a kid still got my "City Ford" jumper. Ow and my favorite player "Freddie Fittler" Who used to go and watch one of the best half backs I've seen in a Salford shirt Neil Baker at Penrith when he was a kid.

Manly for me. Visited their ground and loved it's compact English style. After that Brisbane due to family connections.

Anyway, back on thread, Canberra Raiders.

A fair number of years ago I decided to pick a team who mirrored my own club, one who never has any success & was generally disliked by many of the other teams supporters.

So the only logical conclusion was Cronulla, but after many seasons of similarities they only go on to win the damn thing!

Since then my enthusiasm has waned a little, supporting a successful club is an alien concept to me.

I look out for South Sydney.

I used to work opposite Bulldog Sports in the late 1980's and used to pop into Bulldog Sports each diner time for a chat with the owners Vaughan and his wife ( and his mum & dad who were always there too) What a lovely family they were.

I was actually in the shop on the day of the Widnes v Canberra World Club Challenge game in 1989 when Vaughan was putting the McFadden sponsors logo over the top of the previous sponsors logo on the Canberra teams shirts that he was supplying to the Raiders side for the match that night as the original kit had been lost during the flight over from OZ

Back on topic and my team back in the day was always the Eastern Suburbs (Now Sydney Roosters) and I still have my City Ford sponsored shirt and still wear it to big RL games that the Rhinos arn't involved in

I also have a soft spot for Melbourne Storm in recent years due to how good a side they are (despite their salary cap cheating year when they beat us in the WCC)

I always supported the QLD teams, Brisbane mainly, but NQL once they got into gear. St George in Sydney because of the Saints link .

The New Zealand Warriors, because I now live here and like Warrington, "this is always our year"......and for some unfathomable reason I have a soft spot for the Bunnies which dates back to when they were struggling 2002-2010.

I support Melbourne Storm, not because of a recent run of success but because my Uncle & Aunt were £10 Poms who lived for a long time a fairly short distance away in Victoria state. My cousin was born there but lives in Sydney & my Uncle & Auntie moved away to Gold Coast a few years back.

Helps that they are now a massive force in world RL but it wasn't always so.

Strangely, Gold Coast. Loved the shirt they bring out every year and although it's a strange reason to support always kept my eye on them for that.

A close 2nd would be Brisbane, as Darren Lockyer was one of my favourite players who I tried to emulate throughout my playing days. ( I failed, for obvious reasons)

Gutted to see the demise of dave taylor, greg bird and david mead at craven park over the last couple of years - they were pretty awesome at titans. Never forget Meads one handed pick up from the scott prince kick circa 2011 i think, magic that

Been in Aus for 50 years and have supported the team in the district I lived. So 1968 -1970 South Sydney, !970 -2000 Cronulla and 2000 -present day Penrith. Have been to all Grand Finals since I arrived so have seen all 3 teams win.
