| Never mind the score or what happens on the pitch , what would be an acceptable crowd as that seems to be the most important aspect of RL to the fans these days.

Dont think you'll need to worry about the attendance, there should be plenty there as it is Castlefords last home game of the season and they're still fighting for the big prize.
Apart from local bragging rights and with Wigan beating Huddersfield there is nothing else on the game, which, given Trinty's mounting injury list, Cas will be expected to win.

| Should be a good game, Cas Tigers wanting to get into their top gear ready for the semi's, Wakey wanting to cement their top 5 credentials.

| Weathers crap so game might not be the best quality. Could make it a closer game though.

| Not much of a game to be fair. Think it was more like a bunch of mates having a game down the park. Could see them laughing with each other in tackles etc.... And Wakey kicking it about at start of game.
2 week from now it will be totally different. Wigan away will be a rock hard game so we will see.

Nope the best team won, although the score should have been 12 points closer if the bjb try had gone to the screen (no knock on) and watts miles forward offload had been spotted in build up to moors try

Tried to play too clever and got beaten by a better team. Could only see two questionable decisions and neither would have made any difference to the end result.
Looking forward to a trip to Toronto this weekend?

| I was close with my prediction. End of the day, cas are a club the likes of Wakefield could aspire to be like. Routine victory for cas. Bit like a training hit out for next season. Well done cas

| Decent game. Was some easy money to be made with Wakey having many out. Cas are good to watch and have a good mix of grunt and skill.Out of the 4 they would be my favoured winners just because they have played such good rugby for last 3 or 4 year.Saints and Warry also have good squads and entertain as a rule but can't get away from Wigan doing the business again? I'd say on paper Wigan look the weakest of the 4 sides but play so much better than the 17 reads?Their pack in particular looks nothing special but they are so fit and well drilled they generally get on front foot. Anyway well done Cas tonight Bigger tests ahead

| An injury ravaged Trinity side, with the late withdrawal of Miller and the loss of Batchelor & Grix in the first half meant that there was only ever likely to be one winner.
Cas won very comfortably and fully deserved their win.
I'm just hoping that Trinity can find 17 fit players for next week.

| *rlfans mode on* 7,800 attendance is appaling for a local derby for a team who are in the semi's and one who aspire to be one , mind you there were only 7,400 for the earlier meeting between the teams so clearly neither set of fans care about this game or they are both actually quite poorly supported, toronto get more than that in the Championship. *rlfans mode off

Neither team had anything to play for and after all the bad weather we have had here it was expected. Add to that it was on Sky. There will be 4/5k heading over to Wigan in 2 week.

| ‘Neither team had anything to play for’
I don’t get this. Trinity are trying to get 5th spot and Cas we’re playing to secure 3rd. Surely that’s something to play for.

| So what ? 3rd or 4th. A trip to Wigan or a trip to saints. We've known realistically for 6 weeks that's what lays ahead for us, either way it's a tough away semi final, both of similar difficulties and the only game of any meaning to it. Wakefield have known in that time 5th is the best they can finish where their race is then finished.
Every minute does not matter at all. We've played Wakefield 3 times this year and on each occasion it's been p1ss wet through and each time it's been on tv. Rather then make the trip I've decided to justify staying home and watch it on sky that I pay 70 quid a month for. This is only a recent mind set for myself but the games just don't matter.
Wigan away though on October 5th, does matter.

| So basically your saying Castleford and Wakefield fans are glory hunters who only go to games that matter and the local derby isn't appealing to them?.

| No. Because there was still 7.5k there which is a respectable crowd for a nothing game which was televised for our 3rd clash together this season .
Put some jeapody on the line, or it not be televised and you'd be looking at 9.5k-10k.

By that logic there might be what? 3 or 4 meaningful games in a season?
Is that what you think?
