Sky made plenty of the Cas injury situation – maybe they didn’t mention the prop situation specifically but they stated they were a very weakened team

As for Arundel – I rate him but I think in his second full season he needs to pick up his attacking play a little, doesn’t look quite dynamic enough with the ball in hand at the moment to talk about him in international terms

Well done to Cas for the season though – first the Challenge Cup semi and then just missing the play off’s, it’s been tough on them

I would agree with you about Arundel...he seems a bit passive in his attack, needs to develop a bit more mongrel in his play and look to support any breaks in midfield more.

As for missing out on Wembley and the playoffs...well if the club would have been quicker to react to the injury crisis then who knows?, also why is it our players seem to take so long to recover from injuries?.

So why would we want to weaken them further by playing Arundel? Well done on the homegrown thing though, soon it may help you reach the play offs.

Have to say the West Hull women are better looking. Some right shockers in the KR crowd. In contrast the woman in the Cas end with the superwoman suit on.

For a club spending significantly less that the teams above, and indeed many teams below them, to miss out on the last play-off spot in the last game of a season when the squad has been destroyed by injuries since about round 10 is not exactly failure.
Added to that a cup semi-final that went to golden point it's hardly a bad season.
And to be honest, I'd rather finish in 9th than finish 7th by manipulating the system.

We finished 7th abiding by the rules of the game.

In fairness I was quite impressed by a couple of your young forwards today (although Watts seems to have lost a bit of his aggression). I just hope they are given a chance to develop in the 1st team.

Watts has been disappointing this season. Not helped by his off field antics. Hopefully he'll get back to his best next season as he definitely has great potential.

Agreed, and I hope it continues. However, without the injury to Clinton this might not have been the case, and with the addition of Ryan O'Hara next year they face an even bigger fight for a first team place.
