*sigh* its not the same though is it? Did anybody, including the owner and the marketing team really expect a massive crowd tonight? Do you know what the crowd is? Marketing heads may well roll if the club doesn't deliver long term, but I don't think tonight's crowd, whatever it is, will cause heads to roll.

I'd rather look at the crowd than watch this nonsense. It's only stubbornness that's got me this far through it.

I watched it on the TV with my friend who has quite literally never seen a rugby match in his life, he was completely captivated by it. He's going to Saints - Widnes on Friday now and can't wait .

My life is fine thanks, I have 1 spreadsheet pertaining to London Broncos SL history and I never actually played Rugby League....none of which changes the fact that IMO, that was a game and the crowd did little in the promotion of the game as a popular spector sport.

You don't think that end to end rugby, with lots of tries and a result that could have gone either way might have appealed to casual/new viewers?

The indignation that the crowd is unimportant, at a club we are told hold the future of rugby league in their hands, is wonderfully refreshing.

Nobody is suggesting that crowd is unimportant, but the view/criticism expressed at the start of this thread was that Dr Koukash wasn't already pulling in the punters. That to me is silly, and shouldn't be judged at this stage.

Salford's home attendances this season are currently down by 46.78% compared to London's home attendances which are currently down by 32.18%.

You should get in touch with the miracle marketing team at Salford. They haven't managed to increase the crowds yet, so im sure they'd love to see your numbers.
