| Really looking forward to this one, Mateo on debut against his former team, Kearneys first test as head coach, Jarryd Hayne talking about why he should be paid more money and a 6.30am start for those in the UK.
Warriors by eight.

| go the warriors
i think they have sold over 20,000 tickets for this,so it looks like it could be a sellout by game time...

| I cant believe Krisnan Inu is not in the Warriors side. He's not injured because he's playing in the NSW cup so he must have done something to have been left out unless he's just been poor in the trials.
I think the Warriors look really strong in the pack, especially in the back row with Mateo, Mannering and Luck with Lewis Brown on the bench, i think Brown is in for a big year aslong as he gets plenty of gametime. The halfs did well last year, especially Maloney. The backline is the weakest area for them although i haven't seen this Fisiiahi guy. Ropati needs to be better than last year, he was dire and ended up getting dropped. Never really been impressed with Joel Moon either but i'm sure Inu and Locke will be back if they dont perform.
I really dont like the look of the Eels this year, they could prove me wrong and surprise people but i dont fancy them making the top 8. Hayne will need to be on top form all year and no doubt Kearney will find some young stars. I expect Mannah to have a big year for them and i was impressed with Justin Horo last year but i think cant see them winning this one.
Warriors by 14.

Hope so.

Great catch, I'd completely forgot about Inu.

I agree unfortunately...I cant see Hayne, Robson and Morts getting the time or space to play.

| Eels look a poor side - very uninspiring half backs, Kearney has his work cut out but he has been brought through by the best so hopefully something has rubbed off on him

Somethings happened, not sure what. I don't think Inu is a particulary good buy for the Warriors. Very poor defender and got shown up far too many times last year.
Warriors for me by 3 scores. Their pack is very strong, and very workman like, and with Berro off the bench Heramaia doesn't have to play the full 80.

| I won't completely write Inu off yet, but it's such a shame to watch (figuratively of course, he won't be on TV) his massive talent go to waste. In 2007, he looked like he could possibly be the best out of him, Hayne and Folau. I hope for better.

| I cant understand why the Warriors have spent 300k a year on Inu when he couldn't get a game at the Eels alot of the time and looked poor when he did play.
He's a talented player as he's proved before but he needs to be consistent, maybe a long run in the side will do him the world of good but it's alot to spend on someone who isn't playing.
I think the Warriors are weakest in the backline, Hohaia is okay but nothing special. Vatuvei needs to stay fit but he never stays fit for long. the rest of the backs will be in and out of the team if they dont perform straight away and Inu will get his chance early on. The halves looked good last year, espaecially Maloney.

I watched a lot of videos of them in the 80's when I was a kid growing up.
I still have quite a few here at home and watching the likes of Kenny and Sterling was a jot to behold.

| really good game
1. parra are a fantastic side. their completion rate was 90% for much of the game
2. hayne was brilliant. his spiral bombs and his positional play at fullback. set up a few tries with nice cut out passes or kicks
3. the warriors are a talented side and tried hard
4. vatevi is out for at least 8 weeks with a medial knee, tough luck
5. the inability of hohiai and the warriros winger to catch hanynes bombs cost the a chance of winning

| Vatuvei is injured far too much for the Warriors. He never gets a run of games together without getting injured. Wasn't he injured in the 4 Nations and the All Stars game aswell? At least Inu will get a crack next week.
I didn't expect the Eels to win this one. I thought Kearney would have them playing error free and completing sets, he has worked with Bellamy and Bennett before.
How did the halves go for Parra, Robson and Mortimer?

You cant blame the player for a broken bone. And also today he was injured after a massive hit to his thigh when he was at full speed.
Anyway, if the Warriors could catch they'd have won today. It was a good game though and was great to see so many in there.
