| Barry McKenzie would be interested to hear what is the official (or indeed unofficial) song that supporters of YOUR club sing in the stands during matches.
I'm told the song for Hull is called 'Old faithful' although I have no idea what that means or even sounds like. Sounds like the sort of thing they would have sung to some 14 year old outback cattle dog on some schmaltzy kids show back in Australia in the 1980's
But apart from Leeds supporters singing 'we are leeds rhinos' over and over again (that took some thinking up I bet) and the Hull song I mentioned above, what is your clubs 'official' song? And does anyone actually sing them?

| Incredible to believe but "When the Saints Go Marching In" is the most popular St Helens song.
Plus there's a reworking of that old John Denver tune, "Annie's Song", to reference old nightclubs and visiting the chippy etc.
As for players' songs, I'd say the Keiron Cunningham tune gets sung the most.

I know. At least "Larndan, Larndan, Larndan" brought a cosmopolitan flavour to things.

Really not sure mate.
I've watched some Hull highlights and could hear the crowd singing something but god only knows what it was.
Barry McKenzie has spent some time in Hull and no offence to the people round there but I couldnt understand a word they were saying half the time in usual conversation anyway.
Its mentions this famous 'Old faithful' song on various footy websites ive seen in the past.
Think one was called rivals.net actually.
Anyone remember that one?
Gotta have been about 10 years ago.........

| celts from south wales is a used by now out of date one. crusaders to the tune of Delilah. and another one to the tune of men of harlech called crusaders rlfc
We're Crusaders R - L - F - C,
and next year we're going to Wembley,
Loyal Celts we always will be till our days are done.
Marching on to victory,
going down in history,
Brewery field to Knowsley road,
Wherever they are playing that's where we'll be.
Sons and fathers sing this story,
Of Crusaders rise to glory,
Loyal Celts we always will be,
Till our breath has gone

Can't remember how it goes exactly but it's something like this.
You lift up my senses,
Like a night in the forest,
Like a mountain in spring time,
Like a good sniff of glue.
Like a night out at Martins,
Like a split fish and curry,
Oh St Helens rugby,
Come thrill me again.
Now I'm sure I've got that wrong and hopefully another Saints fan will give the exact version.

My only experience of Hull songs is that FC always sing how they hate KR and vice versa, weirdest thing ever listening to Hull FC fans down at Bridgend singing about shooting the Rovers scum when playing Crusaders and then KR singing similar ante FC songs again in Bridgend.
My next door neighbour is an FC fan and the loathing of KR even from a few hundred miles away is unbelievable.

think this version is a little more accurate..........

| Cant be Arris'd to write a full explantation so here is the abridged version. In the early 1930s, Hull had a full back and goal kicker called Joe Oliver. Oliver was so dependable with the boot that the crowd at one match spontaneously started singing the Gene Autry song, Old Faithful at him. Hull supporters adopted the song as their battle cry from then on.

I think Sheffield Wednesday / United have a good version of that. Swapping Greenalls for tetleys ( a wise move lyrically and taste wise)

| The ' flute ' song has been the favourite for many years at Leigh , although totally un ' PC ' and fortunatley unless we are actually playing the pies and the glory fans are there then it is thankfully becoming less prevalent
The current favourite is , " Salmon Army " , which is a reference to a certain group of fans who if we are playing more than 30 minutes away from Leigh usually make a weekend of it , at the Toulouse match last season they had a speciel edition shirt made in salmon pink and blue , and thus was born the ' Salmon Army ' , the normal response to this chant is , " It's pink , and you know it is , It's pink and you know it is " from the rest of the Leigh fans , in fact at the match on sunday against Whitehaven the afformentioned group unvieled their own Flag , which as was noted is in fact blue and ....... Pink

Oh when the Red Red Robin goes bob bob bobbin along, along
there'll be no more sobbing when he starts singing his song, sweet song etc etc
Old faithful is some old gay cowboy song, not sure how it eneded up FC's theme tune.
As an Australian I understand how the concept of displaying passion and cheering your team on is alien to you. I've heard more noise at a wake than at an NRL game.

wtf is a 'split fish and curry'???
Is that some quaint Liverpudlian delicacy?
Is it as tasty as it sounds?
