There still looks to be a crowd of 5,000 or so guarenteed at this stage but it is getting hit by this boycott whichever way you look at it. Just letting people know before we have our public stoning on Sunday evening.

| 24 – 11 saying no to a boycott. From that snippet I shouldn’t imagine the expected Crusaders attendance will be hugely affected.
Some sensible posts on there who just want to see the Town be successful regardless of the sport. It’s this bigger picture kind of thinking that will be the success of the Crusaders regardless of any contemporary spats the supporters have with the current regime.

| So the Crusaders was bought to help save the football club, but now the football fans want to boycott the Crusaders games?
The mentality of some people in this country is unbelievable.

| They will be around 8000 at this match - I spend half my time in North Wales and a lot of the folk likely to watch Crusaders have no connection with Wrexham or it`s Football club anyway .

If theres 8,000 at the game against Hull then that is simply superb!
When you consider they've still got home games against teams like Wigan, Wire and Saints who should all bring big away following the end of season average should look very healthy.

| I find this Wrexham FC boycott thing confusing. Investor saves Club from going bust, fans disagree with his policies, decide to boycott matches, thus giving the Club another chance of going bust. Ridiculous.

They're boycotting over Andy Garside and his missus at the club after a story in the mirror.
www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-w ... -25791183/
I won't boycott as us, the normal fans can do diddly squat unless the powers that be want to do anything so see it as nigh on pointless. It is the same at my football club with Ridsdale. I'd personally love to boot his @rse out of the place but can do little or nothing to influence those that make the decisions.

| another fantastic crowd looks likely
going back over 100 + years these kinds of crowds for club games in wales are simply massive.
and they are looking at signing more players which can only help things.

for fooks sake nobody is boycotting anyone.
Someone acted all innocent and gave it seeing that crusaders are and i hate rugby league should we not go to games we never intended going to in the first place and put up a poll to that effect.
then the idiots who hate the sport came up with the usual ignorant crap and the open minded football fans said whatever my kids love it so we are going anyway. so the idiots changed track when it became apparent that the game looks like getting a half decent crowd, so now its well its cheap tickets doesn't matter wah wah wah.
I repeat: there is no organised boycott of either crusaders or wrexham fc but at most a few people refusing to spend dosh on beer and food although no one seems sure what money goes to whom anyway.

| Wrexham RUFC have always achieved attendances of around one man and his dog levels, even when I played for them
Wrexham FC have recently achieved attendances of around four men and their respective pets.
Crusaders seem to be dragging in good crowds, as expected by some... I have a feeling though, that the fear of some of the football fans of RL stealing their fans may be justified as WFC head for yet another season of underachievement.

I've got a lot of sympathy for the wrexham fc lot who have been open minded about the crusaders in the main (note on the red passion thread its footy fans saying they wont vote on the poll because they don't watch league anyway) as the coincidence of the crusaders turning up as they toil away in the middle reaches of the conference makes them understandably a bit paranoid about the status of the football club.
It's the union mob that are ting themselves and are represented in the main by a couple of lying, bigoted a*seholes going so low as to accuse league of putting kids at risk in training etc. They are crapping themselves because the sop from the WRU in the RGC union side is looking pale in relation to the crusaders. Having read thier poisonous nonsense before the site was zeroed i now genuinely believe that this is a real chance to make league the pre-eminent rugby code in north wales. as the aussies say "smell the fear"
