Ref called the players off, they came back on 10 minutes later to warm up but game got called off...did help Queens players apparently going to get involved in the fights though

if u visit the Donny forum, its being discussed in depth about the problems. never ever seen scenes like that at a Rugby League game, in fact as someone who goes to watch soccer aswell, ive not even seen them at a soccer game.
Disgraceful scenes from Queens, and what on earth were the players doing being allowed to applaud their fans, this was 20 minutes after the trouble stopped play and whilst police were still trying to calm the situation.

Any other amatuer club involved (some exceptions) and I'd have been surprised, Queens however It doesnt surprise me one bit. Remember playing them in an U18 fixture a few years back and despite been the better team they were more interested in a ruck.
Does the result stand? What Sanctions will be taken?

Lots of clubs use boxing clubs and boxing trainers to vary things
The strange thing is to video it and put it on show , unless of course you are trying to intimidate future opponents |

The club will be banned from competing if the stories I've heard tonight are true.
What I don't get is how an amateur club has enough 'fans' to get a match abandoned? Surely they were aware of the possibilities before hand?

That's not boxing training which would be more to do with stance, defensive position, parrying and punching technique not wildly clubbing each other in a changing room.
If that was a structured coaching session then the coach should be banned! |
