Quote ="PopTart"He has done really well to fill that gap and his MoM was just reward but I can't see him being a long term solution. He is absolutely a bonus and great stop gap for us.
I wouldn't actually be offended if he kept his place when Hampshire or Brough come back, but long term, we need a half back solution that can control a game and finish sets off with a dominant action. None of them are doing that at the moment so Max has a great opportunity to be the guy.
I'd also say Miller steps up in situations like this. I reckon Max enjoyed his half back debut far more with Miller next to him than if it had been Brough.'"
The lad is obviously talented, and has probably now played in 4 different positions for us at various times? I don't see why he can't improve his skills that are already there to some degree and become a competent performer at this level playing at 6 probably. Surely this comes down to the coaches improving his skills? If they see him as a potential 6or7 are they prepared to put the time and effort into developing his game, and not shunting him out of the team every time he has a dodgy game, or the so called better option returns from injury
