I'm a big fan of Wane and think he's done a fantastic job at Wigan. I'd be interested to see how he'd fare in a different environment though. At Wigan, he's overseen the careers of a large part of that team and it's plain the players hold him in extremely high regard. Would he be as successful with a bunch of players from other clubs who might need more convincing? In an ideal world he'd coach elsewhere for a couple of years - almost certainly this would have to be Australia - before taking up the national post. That's not to say he wouldn't be capable now; I just feel he'd be even more capable with broader experience.

Whilst I certainly don't think its his only strength (far from it), it would be interesting to see how he would do away from Wigan - the NZ Warriors job, for instance. Only then will you know how bigger factor his [i100% Wigan[/i is to his coaching success.

He also strikes me as an 100% English kind of bloke!

Would like to see someone like Peacock also involved in the coaching team.
