Well, I suppose that's one way of looking at it. Another is that it's good, I think, to hear other voices other than my own on the blog. The students, some from a league background but most not, bring a different perspective - and one, I hope, that's worth listening to.

Very disappointing to draw people into that oh so boring debate on an RL blog. Im not interested in RU fan's opinions on my game any more than i'm interested in a badminton fan's opinion on my game.

Not really it just smacks of insecurity. 'Please like my game non-RL fan'. You wouldnt see it on any other major sports blog other than RL.

That’s why most sports journalist blogs are dieing. The same old garbage gets dished out meaning people don’t bother reading them any more!

Rubbish, its about as un-different as you can be. RL? Lets compare it to RU.

I played rugby union about 30 odd years ago and it was so easy because the opposition took the dummy and I hardly got tackled even though I wasn't that great.
I alos played for Saint Pats in a tournament. What a difference. They tackled much harder and I had to concentrate on keeping hold of the ball. Dummies didn't work. It was a long time ago and I suppose RU has improved.
League is number one.
