What that shirt needs is some more sponsors on the sleeves.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the original from 96/97 so I’m not really fussed about this one. Nice work by the club to celebrate the 25th anniversary of us winning Super League. Not really my bag but I can see it’ll be popular with many fans.

Sponsors do kill the effect of the sleeves a bit, but the shirt front is super clean.
The promotional video was also really well done.

The promo vid wasnt well done on the night. Built it up for an hour and half then played the vid but it had no sound so the big moment fell completely flat on its rear end.

Complete utter balls up. Hopefully someone got a bollocking for it.

Well I like the shirt.

The crucial difference between the Original and this new one is that the original had a proper collar. For me, the round collar tips it over into being something I wouldn't wear. It looks a lot more like leisure wear to me than a playing shirt.

(just a quick add, im sure many bought or saw the 101 greatest tries and a goal vid, des drumond dives in the corner but loses the ball miles from touching down (again no vid ref))) ... then we have the crowning, the bulls invasion of don valley ... 2 days i will remember most as my leg was in plaster, don valley of course then 1999 anther plastered leg for THE bulls rhinos game

Me too. I don’t quite get the pro or anti emoticons these things stir up, but that’s how it goes it seems. Anyway, it looks good and I’ll probably buy one.

Love it. Couple of seasons ago we had the hoops. Then one similar to 2001 and now a similar one to 97. Class. Love it. Hopefully the away one is black (although I did like the Green ones from 2005/6).

The away shirt might just be even more retro than the home shirt.


Certainly one that will no doubt stir up to very old memories for some of us.

The young man presenting last night, who was quite comical I thought if not slightly unprofessional said be on sale before Christmas.

Why would 4 stars represent administrations when we only had 3 of them?

I quite liked it to be fair. And the purple one from 2011.

My main recollection of Don Valley that night was that [dela mate of mine[/del a guy that I worked with who'd definitely drunk far more than was sensible (even with 1990s guidelines) decided it would be a good idea to do a streak round the running track before the match. To be fair, I call it 'a streak' but he kept it, well sort of decent, by keeping his undercrackers on. Anyway, the Old Bill in Sheffield took a slightly different view and said they intended to throw him out. When asked what he thought about that he replied that they couldn't throw him out because he had no clothes on. Believe it or not he got away with it, since, once they'd stopped laughing, they let him stay in.

I see that the new away shirt is released next Saturday at an event in the AJJB stand as well as the squad numbers and collection of season tickets. Has anyone seen the new Dewsbury away shirt?

Very jealous for their new away kit. Would have made a great home kit for us.
