Think we should be winning this. Sure we'll get a response after the Fev hammering, plus we've had a week off so there should be no excuses.

Widnes were really poor early on in the season but look much improved recently. Beat Sheffield at the weekend and should have beaten London the week before. If we play poorly we'll lose, if we play well we' ll win.

Obviously not sure what we'll line-up like with a new HB possibly coming in this week as well as possible doubts with Scurr & Evans.

If no HB comes in, I really hope Kear stops using Pickersgill or Brown there.

Not sure I agree with BM about the week off being beneficial. When you fall off the horse the best cure is often to get straight back on again. I'm not a fan of siting around and moping about the week before. A game two days later would have been preferable, rather than a fortnight to stew over the defeat.

Still, it is what it is and it's getting a bit late to bring in a new half, to be honest so let's hope JK has a different plan to work on - different from the Featherstone plan, that is - I hope that particular plan is shelved permanently.

Anyone heard anything regarding Matty Dawson. Seems to have gone all quiet regarding updates on his injury.

When he was coming back from his broken arm Kear said he injured his knee. Not heard anything since other than a small sentence in a T&A article a couple of weeks a go that he was a long term injury.

Also just seen some highlights of the women's RL at Odsal. Looks like the pitch is the same size still...

The most recent Bulls game wasn't at Odsal, it was played at Belle Vue.

Huddersfield played Featherstone at Odsal last night, it was on twitch.

I'll be very disappointed if we haven't sorted the pitch by Sunday.

RFLs responsibility not ours. Wood stated that pretty unequivocally in his last interview. You would think RFL wouldnt have moved Womens games en masse to Odsal unless its going to be sorted.

Just checked it out. Pitch does look short still. I hope we have plans in place for Sunday but I doubt it.

Well in that case I expect us to be on the postage stamp for the rest of the season if not for the next 18 months we're at Odsal.

We wouldn't be getting the crowds we are now it we'd stayed at Dewsbury. This is all about short term making ends meet and if the sport looks tinpot then the RFL aren't bothered, it's nothing new.

So, no new halfback signed. Very disappointing probably because of the pointles "international" tonight. Can't understand why Sanderson never makes the squad. What a pointless signing if he's never given a chance. Also, has the pitch been sorted as promised by the RL?

I don't think there was any chance of getting Golding back anyway now he has proved his fitness.

I'd imagine there's a good chance the HB we had 90% done is from KR, with their covid outbreak (and even chance the player we had lined up has covid himself) scuppered those plans. Still hasn't stopped some numpties accusing Kear of lying to us.

Looking at the squad, looks like Kear sticking with Pickersgill at 6 and Brown at 1 which hasn't worked in any of the games we've gone with that combination. DFJ fortunate to retain his place as I thought he was very poor against Fev.

Big game this. Widnes have been in good form. Think we should win this with our pack hopefully. Think this and the Batley game next week will be pivotal where we finish.

REading article in T&A seems like Kear thinks Pickersgill at 6 and Brown at FB is our strongest lineup. Not sure I agree with that as it weakens us at wing and FB at same time. Surely worth giving Race or Jowett a go at 6 and keeping other players in their strongest positions. Pickers at 6 just doesn't work. If Kear isn't prepared to give youngsters a chance what's the point in them being in first team squad?

Totally agree. We are weakened in the halves regardless of who replaces Brough. Why would you weaken both full back and wing positions to try cover for it when there is no need.

Let one of the young lads have a go at half back then you only have 1 weakend position as opposed to 3.
