| Well, Sky Bet has their odds up for next year's Championship Grand Final Winners
Toronto - 6/4
Widnes - 5/2
Toulouse - 6/1
Bradford - 8/1
Featherstone - 12/1
Halifax - 16/1
York - 20/1
Leigh - 25/1
Barrow - 100/1
Batley - 100/1
Dewsbury - 100/1
Sheffield - 100/1
Rochdale - 250/1
Swinton - 250/1
I'd say those are good odds for a team that's just been promoted. Especially when you consider it was via the play-offs and the champions of the division we left are at 25/1

| Can't believe Toronto are as high as 6/4. Thought they'd be odds on.

Very good odds for us at Leigh that, some decent signings seem to be on the way - with a further push at the business end of the season

| Way over the top imo. I feel we'll do ok but the 20 or 25 to 1 odds, very middling, would have been more realistic. 'Course, the bookies are never wrong.....

On social media and on here. Leigh fans are saying the budget is 300k for next year. To compare that's less than what Bulls paid for a League 1 team.

| I don't bet and don't really understand how they come up with odds, but I assume this is roughly how they see the table panning out?
Would love it if they are right about the Bulls, but 4th place seems a tad over optimistic for a newly promoted side. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% behind us and I'm sure we'll be fine, but trying to be realistic as well.
Fax did really well to finish top 4 last year and have strengthened on top of that, and Yorks odds don't look right at all. I'm sure they'll go well.
Good to hear Leigh have plans to recruit after all the recent negative stuff about them.

Well those are the odds for winning the Championship Grand Final.
Fax did well getting a top 4 spot, however Leigh's implosion helped with that. Also, if you look at the Championship table over the passed few years, you'll see that a lot of clubs will finish almost in the same position year on year. It's only clubs that haven't been in the Championship for a long time that seem to be the wild card with regards to where clubs finish.
The team that Bradford have put together are capable of making the top 4 in 2019. If you look at the league, it hasn't really moved on since we were relegated in 2017 and we managed to get 6 wins with a bunch of kids and some loans.
Leigh is a bit of an enigma at the moment, as if they can get their off-field issues sorted and actually get a team together it'll be interesting to see what sort of team they can put together at this stage.
Widnes, you'd think, should be along with Toronto, actually be contesting the GF given that these two are the teams with the best funding in the league. But both are under new coaches and you have to wonder if that's enough to clear out the malaise that they suffered through this year and if Brian Mac can get Toronto to get over their choking at the end of last year.
Toulouse seem to blow hot and cold. They can look like they're going to be a force then without warning the wheels fall off.
York, although they're coming up as Champions and they showed that their team was too good for L1, you have to wonder how well those player will step up to the next division and if HKR will have enough players to help fill out their team next year.

| The bookies don't get the results of sporting tables wrong too often (Leicester !). They're really only interested in the likely winners from a group.
Clearly, below Toronto and Widnes, they're not that interested. It's a guesstimate from position 3 down of the likelihood of winning the league - not of likely finishing positions.
FWIW, I don't think they've got the odds that wrong. How many people will back York at 20/1 ? Not many, I'd reckon, while Bradford would attract a fair amount of cash if they were priced at 20/1. Therefore their odds need to be shorter, even though the bookies probably don't give Bulls much more chance of promotion than York. The poor betting industry has to try to eke out a living, after all !

There may be some serious mind games going on TBH, had to play hardball but hopefully Leigh may not come out of this as bad as it may seem

The trouble with that is you're talking to Bradford fans. We've seen plenty of false dawns over the past few years. So as bad as it is for Leigh, I wouldn't get your hopes up over any green shoots of recovery just yet.

| Only 2 I see there that offer any real value are Toronto and Toulouse. It would be no surprise to see those two in the final and I would think Toulouse would be a touch shorter than that in a one off game and Toronto would be a shorter price to win that 1 off game. Rest of the prices are just for show although if they want to price Leigh at that price I wouldnt mind finding out what odds they would give for them to be relegated because that could offer some real value.

| Did they actually go into administration formally last week? The RFL obviously tightened the rules & points penalties for that after our messes.

| Odds are crazy. But then you can get us at 500/1 to win the Challenge Cup and at 250/1 just to reach the final that at least is doable if remote, because you just never know with the draw.
Wonder what the odds will be for us playing in back to back Finals at Wembley?

Feel free to throw a wedge on Leigh getting relegated - very brave or rich man if you do

No they didnt,rl put them in special measures why they was trying to sort out a compensation with 2 players that were on full time contracts (because the club was going part time)so they wasn't allowed to sign anyone till that was sorted, once that was agreed they could start putting a squad together which surprisingly to us Leigh fans is going to be a lot better than most of us thought it was going to be

True but it's nicer when we might have a chance of competing instead of being the whipping boys of the division
