| Without being respectful, this should be a straight forward game. I'd make a lot of changes for this one (though i personally don't think Kear will) last thing we need is an injury to a key player in a game we should win comfortably. Also the last 2 games have been tough, draining games. Personally i'd go with:
1. Mcnally
2. Brown
3. Ricketts
4. Oakes (if fit)
5. Ryan
6. Milnes
7. Pickersgill
8. Wood
9. Halafihi
10. Davies
11. Hodgson
12. Milton
13. Goodall
14. Butterworth
15. Bustin
16. King?
17. Andrade?

| Before the York game JK was actually talking about Chissy being fit to play next week, as though he intended to play him if he was. Not sure I'm would. It must be a fine line between giving him some gametime and taking unnecessary risks with our big playmaker. Dunno which way I'd fall on that one, tbh.

| A difficult one this. JK has to decide between risking injury and moulding the team into a coherent unit. One of the differences between York and the Bulls on Sunday was that York clearly had played together whereas the Bulls were still in the process of gelling as a team. The more we play together as a team the better we will become. So I think JK has a choice to make here.

| I think he'll go with the core of yesterdays team, but give three or four others a run out. And, for the reasons already alluded to, that seems like a good policy
It's hard to know who will or will not play, as it will depend on knocks and bumps from yesterday. Also whether people like Oakes and Chisholm are fit.
As for Chisholm, Kear was quoted in todays League Express to the effect that hopes to ease him back with a short stint in the next couple of games so that he can play a full game against Keighley in a couple of weeks. So don't be surprised to see him on the bench against West Wales and maybe getting 20 minutes...

| I think it's a bit early in the season to be doing any major rotations. You can't have any fear about picking up injuries, players can get injured just training so it's pointless trying to avoid them that way. I'd rather we play the strongest side we can and try and get some fluidity in the side. We looked very pedestrian against York so the more game time these guys can get together, the better.
I'd go:
McNally
Grant
Gibson
Oakes (or Smith if Oakes isn't fit)
Ryan
Pickersgill
Keyes
Crossley
Hallas
Kirk
Garside
Johnson
Minchella
Peltier
Davies/Andrade
Butterworth/Halafihi
Milton/Chisholm

Was he in the team photo? I can't remember. I know he got a dead leg against Keighley though so him not playing yesterday might have been because of that.
Hopefully we have signed him though because we look really light in the props, Crossley did the job of two men yesterday and he won't be able to do that all season.

| I'm taking it that this won't be the game live-streamed on the BBC website as we've announced a kick off time of 3pm Sunday - the BBC ones tend to have been Saturdays. Unless I've missed something?

| Not too much change but it's important to try and get everybody up to and staying at match fitness, as well as getting used to playing alongside each other so nobody is playing cold when called upon.

| The first report I heard said there was no doctor in attendance and later it said there was no medical equipment, however much as I'd expect any serious team to bring its own doctor and equipment (first aid box?) I guess it's down to us for the cup-tie!

| All joking apart, it doesn't look good for the game when clubs in the top tiers are apparently being run to the standards you'd expect from a badly run pub team.

| No, but maybe the doctor takes some of the blame? I was actually reassured that the match officials make these sort of checks pre-game.

Yeah it was something like that reported in the trade press
It doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the medical profession. A [udoctor[/u was sent away to acquire the necessary medicinal items, and came back with the [uwrong[/u stuff. What?

Doesn't sound good does it. Do we provide th Dr at all our home games? Or do we have our own doctor for home and away?

I honestly don't know
But I strongly recommend we take a doctor when we go to West Wales Raiders

When you've quite finished: You do know that the Wales national side, coached by some bloke named John Kear, qualified for the World Cup,by winning a game at Stebonheath Park.Llanelli.Also,the club managed to stage 3 home games, last season,at the same venue.
As I understand it,on the information I received, one particular item, listed at the top of C1 8 of the Mandatory Medical Equipment - all of which have relatively short shelf lives - had expired.
Getting replacements on a Sunday afternoon was problematic and the club couldn't get assurances that any could be sourced until 5.30pm
C1 - 8 Drugs Box media.rugby-league.com/docs/2016 ... %20PDF.pdf
I only came on to seek confirmation £10 will be the cheapest entry on Sunday - that it can be paid at a turnstile - the price will not increase on the day of the game? Diolch.
PS -Last night the club announced a new doctor - We borrowed your personnel for the spelling!

It's a good idea to have regular contents audits of drugs/equipment boxes. As an NHS worker I'm only too aware of how often things go walkabout, usually when you most need them and getting replacements on a weekend can be an issue. Audit on a Thursday at the very least!
As for admission prices on the day at Odsal I haven't a clue what they are. It's been a big secret but that's another story. You'll most likely be able to pay on the day but I'm not sure whether it will be on the turnstile or at a ticket booth. I'm paying in advance and printing my ticket out since it saves hassle on the day.
Seems we're not alone on the spelling front Hope you have a good trip on Sunday - apart from the result of course

Well yeah, printing out your ticket definitely saves the time queuing in the shop but you'll still have to have your ticket scanned when you enter the ground. If it's a bit blowy, or infinitely worse raining a bit, and you've printed it out on, say, a normal piece of 70 or 80 gsm A4, then expect to take some time whilst they try and keep it still and/or intact, whilst waving it about in front of the screen trying to get their phones to accept it. Let's also not forget there will be a queue of people in front, most trying to do the same....to be honest, I worry far more about other aspects of the club's commercial activities than the illiterate website!
Mind, we've all been saying about how this has all failed during the 'practice sessions' of pre season and how, hopefully, they'll put it right when the season starts....Mmmm.
