Underwhelmed but signing until 2018 which would make me think there is a plan...

Centre not a priority but clearly better than Mendeika so have to be pleased with the signing.

If Lilley doesn't come back then Smith to FB when fit rather than in centres as Thomas will need to play in halves.

Solid player with experience which is something we're lacking in the back line

Could turn out to be a shrewd signing. Hopefully his attitude will be spot on and he'll be good for us. Hopefully Oakes stays on next season too so we have 3 good centres in Oakes, Smith and Gibson.

He's been great for us and is a real solid player as stated. He won't let you down.

Good signing. Experience in a position we're really lacking depth. Just a shame we couldn't get him I'm 4 weeks ago.

You do have to wonder if something is afoot.

Unless he was in his last year and needs to play regular to put himself in shop window for a new contract as he may have a clause in his contract that says if we go down he is free to leave?

Wow underwhelmed in the position Bradford are in Ash is a a quality player I suspect we have let him go to make way for another signing for the 8s he will definitely bolster your side.

He'll be good for Bulls.
He's fast and skillful. He can hold his own in Super League.

He has just had some injuries and other players around him have found good form.

Maybe im being harsh and didn't mean to come across that way. From what ive seen he always seemed to be on the small side (maybe its my imagination though haha) but certainly some positive comments from Wakey fans has changed my mind.

Great signing IMO. With Oakes doubtful we'd have to move Ryan or Bentley into the centres to partner Mendeika. Gibson comes in just when we need him. In fact he's better than Mendeika so is an improvement to the squad.

Certainly happier with Ash than I would have been with Willie Tonga.

Being serious, I don't think we should be 'underwhelmed'. We're bottom of the table in the second tier and destined for relegation (if there is going to be such a thing this year) and we've signed a guy who has played in SL this season.

I think we've done well to get him, frankly

I would assume Tonga just needs his Visa transferring over before he can play for us. We should be really good at that now!

I haven't seen Gibson play for ages but from what Wakey are saying, attitude & skill set are very good, but can be overpowered in the centre sometimes due to his size. And he's had a few unlucky injuries which stopped him getting a good run at their team.
Sounds good, I want to see what he can do.

Haha, not sure about that since most of our experience has been in practising to be bad at it....

However, Ashley is a good signing for me, though I'm unsure on just why HE wants to come to us - we're hardly no.1 choice I suspect. He's spent his career as a solid and reliable, if unspectacular player, in far better teams than ours, that makes him ideal for us in my estimation.

Got to be very good at this level to make it as a small centre.

We lack some depth and quality in the backline. Gibson has been around SL long enough so I'm expecting him to show up well in the Championship for us. Such a shame we didn't see some of this signings a little earlier in the season though. Another tough couple of weeks but we should be targeting those final 2 matches before the split to try and find some momentum.

Can cover Oakes while Ross is injured, then when he's back, Gibson can't be worse than Mendeika. Even if he's not all that interested, he'll still be better than Mendeika.

How good he is will depend on attitude. He has the skill to destroy this division. Whether he does or not depends on if he's here to prove a point or for an easy pay day.
