Dual Reg with Widnes starting tomorrow.One of the Chapelow twins will be coming.Prop/second rower.As regards yesterdays game the simple fact is they were too strong too fast and too skillful for us.Our effort was never in doubt but against teams of this quality we are miles off.

I'm not a fan of dual reg so I can't say I greet this news with any great happiness. However we are already fighting an uphill battle this season with points deductions. We might as well explore all possible avenues of bringing players in. Most of our rivals have link ups so I guess it makes some sense.

I can live with it, if it is a partnership to help out both clubs in the short term. I'm not really following much SL so I can't really comment on what surplus of players that Widnes might seek some game time for?

Would be nice to really get some players in ahead of Sheffield game and really build up a fight to stay up..

Not really a fan of dual reg - it offers even less stability than loan deals - but we need bodies so if this is the only way, then so be it.
And of course we have to dual reg with the worst team in super league



Having said that I wouldn't mind if Danny Walker played a few games for us.

Widnes, is that the best we can do?

Wigan would be a better option if we could get them.

They already DR with Swinton. Not a fan of DR at all, it offers no benefit for the young players at all. But when virtually everyone in the keague uses it, no point cutting our nose to spite our face.

Has this been announced officially anywhere? Or is it more rumour?

No. I must be positive...we're not becoming lapdogs to SL's perennial strugglers, it's an offer of help from Widnes...that's all it is....short term help.....nothing more....we've not given up....

To be fair, Aaron Heremaia wouldn't be a bad shout to replace Scott Moore, but I don't know if he gets a game there or not. Greg Burke could be an option in the front row.
Anything that improves us on the field I suppose has to be a positive thing. Only time will tell if that's going to be the case.

Needs must. I hate DR. It makes a mockery of the championship.(i've seen Michael Sio, David Fifita, and Brett Delaney playing in DR - which according to the RFL helps benefits young players)

Can't blame the owners. Comes in and sees Fev have 5 Leeds players in their squad this weekend, at probably no cost to them) so from a business point of view i can see why it appeals. Get upto 4 DR SL players in your squad every week and not pay a penny.

I think it will stay next year as well as if we survive this year, we're again going to get pittance central funding. A few years of hurt and frustration will happen before we get back on our feet. Its what 3 admins and liquidation does im afraid.
