I just ask because it seems like no news source which hosts league tables don't seem to have factored it in.

Has this been forgotten about? Has some sort of deal been done? Or can none of these media outlets be bothered to set up their tables to include the deduction?

Strange, it's not that difficult to change a spreadsheet and neither is the situation that uncommon.

It must be because some of the sites' tables upto last year, still had the bonus point column.

It's like buying a second hand car and the previous owner had 9 penalty points on their licence and they carry over into your licence when you become the new owner. Disgrace

However, if you buy a second hand car in good faith and it turns out to be stolen you lose it. AS stated on a different thread the 12 point deduction was announced becasue we had such a strong squad at the time it was announced. It did not take into account that we were subsequently liquidated and then lost our whole squad, coaching staff and backroom staff. So if we put both analogies together we not only got the 9 points that the previous owner had incurred but we have also had to give him the car back again.

You forgot to include the fact that we only got this special treatment because we are their "favourites".

Well after round 1, we're not bottom of our league (unless you take the unfair 12 point deduction into account) - maybe thats the HUGE announcement - RFL realise they have messed up and agree that the new Bulls club (because we are their favourites) should get 0 points deduction.

I think you're misunderstanding, somebody assumed it had been restored because none of the league tables were showing it. Unfortunately it hasn't been restored.

How come all the other RFL members started on zero?

Are we -12 points for ever then regardless of wins? Or just at the start of every season?

Odd wording, but then they can't say -12 for entering administration or being liquidated as that was the previous Bulls.

The only possible rationale I can come up with is that the RFL see it as a compensatory deduction to make it up to those teams that finished behind us last year when the club was being run irresponsibly and benefitting from having a better side than could be afforded.

It doesn’t stand scrutiny either really given that our spendthrift ways of signing heaps of players and binning them off at a moment’s notice didn’t exactly mean we did very well out of it.

Because punishing another club for ones misdemeanours has worked so well in the past.

Obviously the penalty is to punish some people that had no say whatsoever in those actions.
