| Obviously this is hypothetical as we only know 2 of the bidders for certain and presuming Chalmers/Lowe is the third bid. Just wondered which fans would prefer we got from the limited information we've got.
[uLamb[/u
Positives - Has Damian Irvine on board. Has been presistent if nothing else. Has experience of managing rugby club as he is chief executive at Rotheram Titans.
Negatives - Isn't a sugar daddy
[uThorne[/u
Positives - Previous experience of being an owner at Wasps. Presume he would have more money than Lamb. Been pro-active in purchasing domain and trying to make sure no more players leave. Seems like he could fund FT squad for next year.
Negatives - Unsure just how much money he has if Richardson not involved.
[uChalmers/Lowe[/u
Positives - Think they definitely have some capital to invest in the club. Previous experience of RL.
Negatives - Previous liquidated companies don't make great reading.

| Put like that non are ideal are they?
I'd take either of the first two whoever had the most money. They both potentially come with issues. If they have the same amount of money I'd go for Irvine/Lamb I think because of Irvine's record turning Cronulla around. Depends on the money though at the end of the day.
Certainly not sure about Chalmers/Lowe. Not seen any evidence of money behind them. Past records are bad with taxman and people left out of pocket.

| For me, I like the fact that Thorne took the initiative to come and meet the players and assess what was left of the club, and perhaps attempted to stem the exodus of our best players. It's a shame certain people on social media tried to claim he was going behind the RFLs back and using underhand tactics, I never believed that for a second. Everybody knows time is of the essence now and it always seemed to me like he was simply trying to manoeuvre himself into a position such that should he be successful, he's ready to hit the ground running.
So, on the proviso that he has some money behind him, whether from a backer or himself, he gets my vote just because there is very little other info to go on.
Chalmers & Lowe have previous, and Lamb seems heavily insistent on fan involvement which I'm just not sure is the right model for us.

| Clearly has to be mystery option 4, the multi billionaire Bradford fan who's been waiting in the wings until just the right moment....
To be fair I've not voted as i don't know enough facts about any of the 4 buds, i mean we don't even know for certain the four names!

You'll be able to tell if one of the bidders suddenly says it's all in the fans' hands and it's up to them to get the club back to "where it belongs" (another phrase that gets my back up). Anyone who tries to put all the emphasis on the fans is potentially listening to that @rsehole.

| Well, the criteria that the RFL have set out is that all bids must have a financial projection and provide proof of funds for the next 3 years. As there were reports of between 10 and 12 bids cut to 4, it's a hopeful sign that the chancers have been cut out and were left with bidders who know:
a) what they're doing business/sport wise
b) what they're letting themselves in for taking on the Bulls
c) have a pot to p!ss in.

| We actually know so little that we can't even be sure they are the real runners and riders, let alone make a decision about which is best.
Think I'd need a crystal ball before making my mind up, and when it comes down to it, the best is the one which will still be in charge with a still functioning company in three years time...and that would be??

If you could get your hands on a Rugby League World magazine - dated around the time/month or so either before or after Dr Koukash took over at Salford,there is a section in the magazine devoted to New Zealand.
In that section the writer mentions a Belgium multi-millionaire,associated with Chalmers who wished to invest in rugby league.It was thought he may have been going to assist Salford - but didn't.
The section also reports on the eating,one night,by Nigel Wood,which may serve as a health warning.
Dr Koukash took over January 2013.

Rugby league in Australia operates far different to here all the NRL teams are linked to Leagues clubs which generate the money for the NRL side. Take this income stream away Rugby League clubs in Australia would be as broke as their English counterparts.

"For both ventures, Chalmers had the financial backing of a Belgian-based millionaire. over time, some came to doubt the existence of the Belgian bankroll, but Kiwi Scene can assure you it was real. This time, the Belgian hasn't been called upon, but don't be surprised to see him pop up somewhere as the Salford story unfolds.
And if you're wondering just how a New Zealander came to be called upon to advise and English club, you'd have to blame curry. Back when the world game was dominated by men with substantial waistlines, the 'three fat controllers' as they were called - Chalmers, the RFL's Nigel Wood, and the NRL's finance chief Ed Farish - formed a fast friendship forged over Bradford curries."

Give over man..You need a good one to run your club..Hopefully one without an "admin" department or one that knows whats it doing.
Yes you are correct, as you need an owner of substantial wealth to continue RL in Bradford.How the RFL determine after three admins who is the better proposition,I can only give praise to one taking it on.

So Chalmers likes Bradford's currys, he has an eating friendship with Nige and a rich friend who likes the colours RedAmberandBlack - thats it then; no point voting - its a done deal

The point is that without an owner professional RL in Bradford doesn't exist. If there is a new owner it will be chosen by the RFL without consultation with the likes of me. Its in their hands whether I like it or not. This time round they absolutely have no one else to blame but themselves if it fails. They set the criteria for membership and they select the owner therefore they have full responsibility for the outcome. For all the sentiments on who we would like and who not I'm sure that the vast majority of Bulls fans on here will get behind them just as they have before. Lets just hope we aren't let down again.

I believe in the 17th chapter of the book of Jobe, which states, "Blessed is he who doth not expect for he will not be disappointed".
Btw, I'm not sure the book of Jobe actually exists, or if it does, that it has a 17th chapter, but it sounded appropriate..

You see that's quite funny. The real Job ch.17 reads as follows:
Job 17New International Version (NIV)
17 1 My spirit is broken,
my days are cut short,
the grave awaits me.
2 Surely mockers surround me;
my eyes must dwell on their hostility.
3 “Give me, O God, the pledge you demand.
Who else will put up security for me?
4 You have closed their minds to understanding;
therefore you will not let them triumph.
5 If anyone denounces their friends for reward,
the eyes of their children will fail.
6 “God has made me a byword to everyone,
a man in whose face people spit.
7 My eyes have grown dim with grief;
my whole frame is but a shadow.
8 The upright are appalled at this;
the innocent are aroused against the ungodly.
9 Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways,
and those with clean hands will grow stronger.
10 “But come on, all of you, try again!
I will not find a wise man among you.
11 My days have passed, my plans are shattered.
Yet the desires of my heart
12 turn night into day;
in the face of the darkness light is near.
13 If the only home I hope for is the grave,
if I spread out my bed in the realm of darkness,
14 if I say to corruption, ‘You are my father,’
and to the worm, ‘My mother’ or ‘My sister,’
15 where then is my hope—
who can see any hope for me?
16 Will it go down to the gates of death?
Will we descend together into the dust?”
