Am I the only one thats getting a bit fed up about this concept. Don't get me wrong... the day out is all very nice but the fact we always get drawn against the bigger teams is not right.

If the RFL want a big day out, IMO they should dust off the 9's concept and have it as a separate competition.

It may be a big day out for some but as it's in Blackpool it's a case of get in and out as fast as possible for me, or watch on TV.

Not always, we played Halifax last year.

Haven't missed the weekend yet - once inside the stadium,always enjoy the games and the day.

Made the mistake of staying in Blackpool once - never again - hell on earth.

Will be staying in Lytham again next year and wouldn't miss this or Magic Weekend either - love them both...

What a complete farce of a concept. Is there even any logic or process to who gets drawn with who, other than we seem to have drawn another tough fixture once again. I won't be going.

I don't understand how you can not have a good couple of days in Blackpool - although Lytham is fine too, if you want something more genteel. It's not as if you HAVE to go to the places where all the bozos hang out. We had a great time last year (and the year before) and really don't see the problem.

As for the fixtures - what do people want? A bye? Yes, it is a tougher fixture - but the bonus is that, if you win it, it's a 4-pointer against one of our main rivals. And a tough test and good prep for the playoffs, being a big crowd and a big atmosphere. Will stand us in good stead.

But above all, a tasty game to whet the appetite. Would you really prefer a bye against some whipping-boys? Really? What would be the point? Bring it on, I say.

Is it correct we will get the ticket included in our season ticket this year??

I'm liking those photos, I'm tempted to go now for the first time ever.

Horses for courses but I can say with some certainty that there is little in Blackpool that interests me.

I struggle with this daft concept as part of the regular season format. I could possibly try and see some sense if the draw was either random or based on previous league positions or basically any sort of fixed method for determining the fixtures. But it seems it is just whoever RFL/Sky want to see, sorry it just doesn't sit right with me.

No, it's incorrect. It's bull$hit being put out on social media. It's the same as it's always been, half price for season ticket holders.

Out of interest, what interests you?

We get up for an excellent full English and go for a morning stroll on a deserted beach.

Lunch at one of a couple of regular clean cheap and tasty cafes.

This year if the timings and the weather work out we plan to spend a few hours at Marton Mere, to which you can walk from Stanley Park. Or maybe the RSPB Ribble centre. Not been to either yet.

Obviously there's the obligatory rides, water park and sealife - most places from Disney downwards have those but for some reason Blackpool's are overlooked.

Evenings we'll be back at the hotel for beers and the live show, but if I wanted to go out then I'd be off to one of the comedy clubs, or might see whats on at The Grand Theatre. And no shortage at all of real ale pubs which suits me very well


I get that, and largely agree, but it IS a pretty big event, at the level we're at, and we are playing whether I go or not, so I start from there. So, a bit of advance planning and you can have a marvellous little break, plus take in what have been some really highly entertaining games, not just ours, thrown in with the ticket prices. Fev v London as a warm up to our main event, for example.

Already got our B&B booked for next year... cracking weekend and great atmosphere ... if we're good enough we need not worry about who we play!!
