Not looking good for them. Players told they are getting paid end of this month then that's it, end of the road, no wages for October and November.

So the "big backer" that they are still on about, is that now sunk without trace, roger? I.e. is there a plan or are they really at end of visible road?

I've put a tenner in, we all know how this feels. I hope they can pull it round but I'm not confident tbf, hope I'm wrong but I'm not sure we'll see them in the Championship next season.

There is someone interested in taking them over and building a new ground but they also want to build a power station nearby to fund the ground. The council have apparently been dragging there feet and only in the last few days said they will look at it, they have also said it cannot be rushed through, so that will take time. The last investor pulled out cos the council blocked his plans to build an hotel on the new ground site.

If they lose this week at Halifax that's it, it's looking like admin

Well unfortunately I think it's a given that they are going to lose this weekend at Halifax.

It's truly awful to see them in this predicament. They've been a remarkable club in many respects, from the cup win over Wigan, to re-forming and thriving after the utterly disgusting stitch-up with Huddersfield.

Agree the second para., but I wouldn't be surprised to see them bounce back from our mauling with a win. They have already beaten Halifax earlier in the season (fair enough, Fax stuffed them at their place in June though) and have been capable of some good results, plus they may have a point to prove this week of all weeks given what's going on.

They may well have an even bigger point to prove next weekend too, so let's hope we're ready for it.

Plus they may be more desperate for the £50k than we are. Perhaps we should offer to split the prize.
