Maybe a newcomer to this channel and probs a bit late to the party but I tuned in to the Fev game on Sunday up here thanks to the wonders of the Interweb.

First things first, I was surprisingly impressed with Mick Gledhill. He was good and far better than his on-line persona suggests. Credit where it is due, he was very much listenable.

However.........

Where on God's earth did they drag that Hobbo out of? What an absolute plonker that guy is. He completely reminds me of the random pi$$ed punter you get at every game whose bias is so ridiculous that nobody listens to a word that they say. The kind of bloke that if he had a season ticket in the seat next to you then you would ask for a refund on yours.

What a total embarrassment this guy is. I mean, come on, on her, our Mick usually makes himself look a bit silly. Alongside this Hobbo chap he sounds like Albert Einstein!.

Anyway, that is all......

I've been brought up to call what I see without adding unnecessary bias.

Hopefully you can join us for the game against Whitehaven next Sunday.

I think you mentioned in another thread an interview with Rohan Smith on Friday (29/7), do you know when that will be broadcast?

I have commented previously I think the commentary is excellent, yes in hindsight "Hobbo" do go a bit OTT at the referee but his passion and love for the club is what I heard.

I understand an hour ago you put on Facebook that there was breaking news regarding Bradford Bulls, with a link to the BCB show. Was there actually breaking news that wasn't just about the earlier WUP, or was it just a way of trying to get people to listen?

I've praised your commentary numerous times on here (and defended Hobbo recently too) but if it was the radio equivalent of clickbait, it's not really on. I hope you tell me otherwise.

Mick - are there any on demand/podcast options for the interviews and stuff like last night? Doesn't seem immediately obvious if there is, but would be cool if there was.

What is radio click bait? I was called whilst shopping to go live on air and talk about the Bradford Bulls situation in response to the reply that BCB got from HMRC about the late VAT submission and subsequent notice of VAT assessment issued by HMRC.

The statement issued by the club was also digested and explained in a layman's terms way that the majority of our listener ship could understand.

I could have declined but I love this club that I have supported since 1985 and believe that the listeners deserve to know why and how this has all come about.

I don't know if you're on Twitter, but some of his tweets are what cause the flak chucked his way. Can't fault him for his commentary though.

Admittedly I was not aware of it so unfortunatley no. I have however noted the times of subsequent programs which sounds like it could be interesting. Hopefully there will be an opportunity to ask some interesting questions of guests rather than simply pushing out the usual public relations lines. Tricky to balance of course if you rip coaches/players to shreds every week you'll likely soon find no-one prepared to turn up!

Having never played League (some RU - don't worry I was fully converted around the start of SL) I would be interested to hear what the training consists of (yes I know) and what physical P.B's they might have e.g. Bench/Deadlift/Power Clean or perhaps rowing machine 2k times of which I have some experience of?

The bcb broadcasts have improved massively since Mick took over although he really needs a new co-host, Hobbos negativity is incredibly tedious at times. Only criticism of Mick is he seems to like to sound like he's in the know leading to misleading and rather cryptic tweets, stop trying so hard Mick! It's fine that you're just as in the dark as us half the time!

It's next Friday is the question and answer @TheBeast I'm not sure of the time but I'll let you know.

Sometimes my opinion on Rugby League issues I regularly post on twitter does get misconstrued and in hindsight should be made clearer as I can't expect everyone who follows to be on the same wavelength.

No bother pal. I was listening whilst putting myself through hell at the gym on Sunday. You helped me through it. Just a shame that the team were so diabolical.

On a side note. How will the failure to reach the middle 8's affect the listener figures for BCB and, therefore, advertising revenue that can be made from people tuning in to listen to the game? With all due respect to Whitehaven, but I doubt too many will be that bothered?

I suppose though that it might go the other way and more people will tune in now that we are not going to be televised in the middle 8s and therefore there is no competition?

Whatever, well done. I thought you were excellent Mick and I am one that often gives you a bit of stick and for that I apologise. It is meant more in jest than nastiness. There is no doubting your love for your team and we all get carried away now and again.

Well there may be more tuning in to the Haven game given that it's all the way up there and even fewer than normal will be bothered going.

But once someone pushed the front door open for you, did it get easier?
