Toronto want former NFL players. Jarryd Hayne is a former NFL player. The suggestion is that he's going to Leigh to work his way up through Toronto's established feeder system.

It's the only thing that makes sense.

Not sure it would be a, "travesty", to be honest - after all if a fully pro side can't make the top four of a mostly semi-pro division, then it simply doesn't deserve to be in the middle eights. Shameful, is the word I'd use.

If they signed Jarryd Hayne that would be more likely to happen and I'd go and watch them just to see him play in the flesh. That said it is not happening.

Considering that Hayne went to the NFL and the Fijian R U 7's wasn't about the money, the rumour about him joining Leigh mustn't be about the money, but perhaps he wants to add embarrassment to his resume!

He played in the 2012 Eels team, embarrassment is already on his resume, they were that bad they were lucky to get points from the bye.
