I know it is seriously wishful thinking, but Peter Wallace is reportedly being released from Penrith due to not getting along with Anthony Griffin (fall out from Brisbane) and is headed to England.
He is Scottish so it could be a draw to play for us with our Scottish contingent.
As I said, it is very wishful thinking but would allow Jacks to play back up 9, or Jacks and Wallace in the halves with Gaskell playing FB. (Non fed trained spot free if it's true Nielsen isn't coming back ?)

Yep don't think we'll be signing Wallace but I'd rather we saved ourselves the cash that would be wasted on Hall.

Managed Matt orford, and more recently Dane Nielsen (different circumstances understandably, but he snubbed cas), so I'd say things are still possible.

Would be stupid to overlook him though. Show a bit more ambition that many are crying out for by targeting quality players as opposed to Unproven qcup players.

Everything you see suggests that players are not offered big money to play for us. Up to everyone's own opinion if that's the right way to go about it given recent history, or if Leigh's method is preferable.

Flip side if MG is wanting season tickets to be sold, and at the prices he has set (mine was around 280), people expect bigger/better players. Need reasons for people to be parting with a big chunk of cash to watch, what at times last year was opposed training sessions as opposed to actual games.
I'm a big fan of MG, but , and please do correct me if I'm wrong, he hasn't , along with ferres and RHP, provided the significant investment into the playing staff (quality) that was promised
Similar to last year, more quantity than quality, but I do appreciate dropping down a league isn't everyone's cuppa.

Can't see us signing Wallace unfortunately. If by some miracle we did get him, suddenly with a HB partnership of Wallace/Gaskell, we would be in with a great chance of getting promotion again. Think those two would compliment each other.

However our recruitment policy seems to be signing Queensland cup/championship players and seeing if they work out. Wallace would be a marquee signing for us.

If anyone suggested in public to Green or Ferres that we should sign him, the response would probably be along the lines of "Sure, we'll offer him terms. However only if every fan commits to spending an extra £500 in the club shop before the end of January."

Not that I'm saying we should or shouldn't. I just can't see it happening bearing in mind the players we have been signing and the things you hear about current wages.

I am not sure I can influence him in any way shape or form but if anyone has his twitter handle then fire it over and I will plead with him.

Unfortunately for Bradford Bulls but happily elsewhere, Mr Begbie will be unavailable for the majority of the 2016 season due to his commitment to the filming of Trainspotting 2.
