Looks like Sammut will make his debut vs Leigh.... could be interesting.
There's no conflict of interest if both Wakefield & London are in the super 8's ?? As a transparent & modern organisation, the RFL will have considered this sort of thing yes?

| This could work out ok for us if he has a stormer against Leigh and swings the result in London's favour. However, after seeing the highlights from their game with Sheffield, it seems their problems are far greater than just being short of a decent halfback.

They still are.
A super league club is allowed a 2nd dual reg club if they're outside of heartlands supposedly.
London are dual reg'd with Skolars & oxford below them, and now Wakey as well.
This is getting daft.

| London have clearly admitted defeat in trying to go up this year. Why else would they duel reg with a club they should be aspiring toward playing later in the year. They get in the middle 8 and suddenly Wakey find they need Sammut back because...erm...they need him to grout the toilet at Bell Vue.

| So what happens when Fev play London, if they're both allowed access to Wakefield's fringe players? Do they scrap over the half decent ones and let the others get stuck with Ian Kirke?
And since London are also dual registered with Skolars and Oxford, if Wakefield send the Broncos a player they don't really want, can they then send him on to Oxford?
My head hurts.

| Why shouldn't Wakey loan out the players that aren't getting a game?
They are trying to keep them in shape rather than sat in the stands.
We have had two good wins and not picked up any injuries, so what's the problem?

I'm sure I saw something about there being rules in place regarding when players can be signed in terms of the middle 8

They cant go back and forth once the middle eight starts. Not sure if theres a date when they have decide which club they play for prior to start of middle eights.

I don't think anyone is having a go at Wakey per se, more just the farcical nature of the dual reg system. Can't blame Wakey for trying to keep their players fresh as you say.
I think pretty much everyone involved would be happier if we went back to having A team games, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like the money is there to make that setup feasible anymore.

It's a shame that Sky are paying billions for the best Premier League games and letting BTSport pick up the best of what's left for a billion.
Whilst RL is treat like a second class citizen, maybe the RFL should have done something like this, instead of everything on Sky.

I'd agree if there were any reasonable alternatives to Sky.
It seems that Premier are the only other broadcaster really interested and, judging by the guy who doubles up as a presenter on that station and did our ground announcing last season, it seems more than a little bit amateurish. I'm afraid the big god soccer rules and is likely to do so for the foreseeable.

I guess the easiest way is to say they play for the club they are currently playing for when the middle eights begin. It would be up to the parent club to decide if they wanted to keep them 'at home' and recall them before that date. To be honest, if it were my call, at that point I'd have all the playing assets back in the fold - for all the very obvious reasons.

It's a no brainer Bulliac. If you're a SL team in the middle 8 you'd have every player back from the dual reg in a flash whether you intend to play them or not.
