Fixtures for the upcoming 2015 season are released this evening. Any preference on who we get first? I'd like a local derby with Halifax or Dewsbury at home.

Does anybody know if the Summer Bash fixtures will be announced tonight?

Would love Leigh away first up. Very excited about the fixture announcement. Wanting to get to as many away games as possible!

Summer bash fixtures aren't released til November. Would prefer us to avoid the better teams for first few games. We've a largely new squad and it's going to take a while for it to perform at its best. That said we'll probably get Leigh or fev away first up.

The rumour mill is suggesting London Away, but who knows?

What an anti-climax thay would be. Too open up the new -era we will have what we had before!!

Have to agree - the M1 seems never ending....even without the inevitable road works/fog/accidents closing lanes off.

Beware what you wish for

If the RFL still hold a grudge, it'll be London or Leigh away first.
If they've forgiven us, then it'll be a local Yorkshire team away first.
They'll never give us a home game to start...
So no point wishing for it

I did a round trip to Birmingham last week. They appear to be experimenting with the concept of increasing the speed limit above the normal 50 mph on short stretches. Hope it catches on.

Best way to look at is we're getting toughest fixture out of the way first. Win it and were off to a flyer. Lose it and,whilst disappointing, were arguably at our weakest from a team gelling point of view. We should improve as season progresses and combinations start to click. Maybe better to get a loss out of way early and then steadily build our confidence than have it later in season.

Exactly - The dream opening game from the RFL perspective. Good job I hold the RFL in high regard and wouldn't think of accusing them of fixing the opening fixture for 2015.

It's weird, my mate is a director at Leigh, he kept telling me 1st game would be at home to Bradford Bulls !

Not too far to travel for me so I'm happy. We lose, we can blame it on lack of time to gel.

And the random computer selection process makes us wait until penultimate game to play Leigh again, could RFL be hoping this might be some sort of decider or is it just a coincidence? I think i know the answer

If it is - it's poor planning. We'll either be in the top 4 or not by then, the league resets after that and we'll likely be playing them again in a matter of weeks should all go to plan. It'll likely a dry run for the super 8s rather than anything mega meaningful

Fair point, still think they might hope it is some sort of league leaders crappy shield decider!
