For me Matt is fully aware of what is needed to see the season through and must avail himself to the Bulls cause however as RHP has stated a few times we must follow through wth what we seek to stay focused on the matter in hand .

The tag on the picture says cryotherapy. Could just as easily be a surface application as something internal. Still probably best not to run on the foot you've just had frozen solid, but it's a few days off stuff rather than out for weeks.

Does that mean his foot is going to live forever?

I think his playing days are pretty much done. Even when he's in the team, he seems to only play the first 20-25 mins and then that's him done for the rest of the match.
The only problem with that is, I'm not comfortable with us heading into next season with only AoB and Conroy as our hookers. I'd like to see us sign a hooker with a bit of experience, but I'm struggling to think of anyone who might be available.

Agreed Paul. Interesting that Lowes comments in T & A today mentions player(s) who might be retiring. I suspect Diskin is in that category and Lowes is building for next season.
I'm also very pleased that the article stresses that he sees the continuation ( and strengthening) of the Academy structure as a key component of the Bulls future strategy.

Cryotherapy is often used to kill nerve endings as a cure to chronic pain. Would expect a very fast recovery.

That's assuming the treatment is successful.

Given that pain is the body's response to let you know there is a problem, I see problems with the cure, to be honest. Isn't it a bit like cutting off the power to your car's oil warning light instead of putting some oil in?

I think it's more that your're killing the cells that are the source of the pain rather than making your nerves ineffective.

That seems a more reasonable way to look at it. Let's hope it works.
