"we believe the decision reached by the Sporting Sanctions Appeals Panel was not only flawed but completely wrong and, as a result, I am willing to continue fighting the fight for this great club.
“Whether we decide to continue in our quest to win back the points or not, the business is starting to lay strong foundations. If we are able to retain Super League status, we will continue to develop accordingly. If, however, we are relegated, we will put every effort into returning in the quickest time possible. The club will operate a full-time first team and there will be no redundancies as a result of relegation, in any department."

| Interesting that's he's considering the option of going to High Court which would seem costly in both time and money.
I find his comment of the deduction being unpopular with others within the game a little odd, I can't recall any support from others in the media.

It will be if he goes through with it, because it would be months before it was heard, with total uncertainty for all in the meantime. If we break the habits of a lifetime and actually score some league points, it could mean a different club being relegated after the season had finished.

He publicly stated that every other club should support the right of appeal if the game was to have any credibility. he publicly stated that every club should stand by the decision of the appeals panel. He publicly stated he would stand by whatever decision was reached.
Now he is saying he doesn't stand by the decision of the appeals panel. I hope he does take his case to the High Court. Who will he be challenging. The RFL who handed down the original decision, or the appeals panel who upheld it?
His WW2 analogy is not only highly inaccurate, it is entirely distasteful.
He would be much better served focusing much more on positives like the club staying full time.

| I hope he does appeal, only to pee off the Wakey fans, it's already the most talked about issue on their paranoid 'board'. In reality though, he is just saying the things he thinks Bulls fans want to hear. The chances of getting any points back are slim & the potential financial & reputational cost huge.

| Why are we messing around with the High Court?
Lets just kick it up to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Then we can all have a day out!

When did he say these things? Can you provide actual evidence of him say the quotes you've ascribed to him, or are you making things up to fit your argument?

| Dear Marc Green
I have read your statement issued yesterday… Here is my response;
Quotes from Mr Steve Ferres dated 29th March 2014.
[i“I’d like to see the three players we've lost replaced. If we can get a couple of props in then it helps Francis, and if there is anything available beyond that we will look at it.
“We’ve got to look at what Francis needs and his requirements for the short, medium and long-term.”
[/i
Since that date – other clubs have managed to recruit players where we have only managed a variety of 1 month loan spells – which is a complete waste of time.
However, I have to say that missing out on the opportunity to re-sign Gareth Carvell to end of season has particularly annoyed me.
If ever we needed a straight running, hardworking prop who can offload in a tackle – its now.
It would have been good if more than some extraordinary effort had been made to bring him back.
As a fan, I have no idea if that effort was made, if it was and he did not want to return – then that’s just another very bad sign for the Bulls.
If we cannot attract players – we are in real trouble and that needs to be addressed.
If it’s the case that you never even tried to bring him back – then the quotes above become even shallower.
[i“We’ve got to work hard to give the club some credibility and to engage with the fans because Bradford have been through a very traumatic period and limped along from one disaster to another"[/i
Well this one is a belter isn’t it?
At the very least, there should have been at least ONE fans forum by now with you, Robbie Paul and Steve Ferres (and a coach) in attendance to meet and face those of us who have questions to ask.
To date – there has been NO two way contact and NO encouraging news or announcements – only pleas for support.
So please do tell me – 13 weeks on from wishing to engage with the fans – when will this happen?
Who Am I? A fan that stepped inside Odsal in October 1964 and was bitten and infected then and remain so today. I have bought two season tickets every season since 1994 and barely attended any games since Steve McNamara killed off the team. I cannot take the depression any more. I spent £500 to visit Catalan V Bulls knowing it was likely my last chance. The 80 minutes there was the lowest point of a three day stay.
I am at the point where my habit of buying season tickets as a form of donation is in real doubt.
Why is this?
Because I do not have a clue what the plan is now or for the future.
If you were to present your pleas for investment in Dragons Den in the same way you present them to us fans – you would be sent packing.
Over to you Marc?

| It's difficult for all concerned, to be fair Errol
On Carvell -what makes you think he would have been prepared to come here? He walked out on the club before the season had started, so I suspect he would feel a bit of a..shall I say Wally, if he returned on loan from the club he deserted us for. Don't forget there is also the case of Kaufusi [and maybe Mullally at Hudds who has refused to come, and clearly he'd rather do nothing than play for us, apparently on the advice of his agent, so I wonder why that would be?
As a team going down, we're never likely to be first choice for players, I can see that, so I can understand why it's been difficult.
I'd agree that Marc hasn't engaged with fans -though he has spoken to fans, I remember he made some promises to fans outside the ground at Perpignan, though I felt, " I promise we're not going to be relegated" was a little out of his control and on par with some of the stuff Omar came out with when he got excited at the forums. Just telling people what they want to hear is pointless I think that the forums made us feel we were, 'in the loop', but it was illusory and we were lied to on too many occasions. If they aren't going to tell the truth then it's better to be more like Mr Green, and don't "engage", to be honest.

| On subject of kaufusi, did anyone else notice gledhills tweet last night that there may now be possibility of him returning?. Maybe another that didn't get along with FC.
Also a raft of tweets night before that read like a press statement from Omar, about investigation into administration he's paying for.

| He's saying the right things but I'm not sure I believe very much of it unfortunately.
The World War II stuff is trite. I've never been comfortable with the use of those analogies in sport, they were matters of life and death which came at great human cost. It trivialises the whole thing to the point of being disrespectful.

| Take the punishment on the chin and if you go down, do it with dignity. Rightly or wrongly you've been deducted 6 points and should take the punishment as would any other club who had wronged. You've lived well beyond your means and are paying the consequences for it now on the pitch. If that means relegation then so be it but you might come back stronger, we did (Giants) when we finally went down after years of struggling for results.

| So it is right that if a club was wrongly deducted 6 points then they have still wronged, even though they haven't done anything wrong? And it would be right for the wrongly deducted points to be upheld? That's just wrong.

I get enough enjoyment from 28 pages of paranoid Wakey angst to last me a lifetime thanks.
Having to watch a decent team as well might be just too much for my ticker.
