Any news on who it is yet? I know it was mentioned in the T&A that the new 19's coach would also have an input with the first team.

I noticed a thread on the Rhinos board linking Keith Senior with a coaching job at the Bulls. I've no idea how true that is, but I believe that the lads are back in in the next week or two for testing.

I think the U19s coach will act as an assistant coach to the first team.

It won't be something he's not done before, so why not? I did think the two posts, of academy and first team assistant, were to be two people though - maybe someone else is in the pipeline or maybe there is no-one Franny thinks is the right man for the job. Of course, it could be the whole thing is tied in with the ruling we're expecting from the RFL or does that only apply to players?

Not sure there's any ruling, but there seems to be some belief in the idea..

Don't worry in some circles he is regarded 10/10 for off-field reputation.

Anyway, it would be fitting for Cummins to create an opportunity for Senior given how many tries Senior provided Cummins as his wingman. Good to see the ex-Leeds mafia in charge at Bradford, and vice versa at Leeds.

He lived off the back of Senior as a player, perhaps that's his idea as a coach as well.

delicious irony for Leeds so far and yes, I do know the jury is still out in some quarters, but let's hope Franny's career really takes off this year too.

But there is no other coach. As previous posters have said he will have input with the first team. But there won't be a Senior or anyone else. I must be as dumb as dog pooh

Initially it was said we were putting feelers out for another assistant coach for the first team squad [iand[/i someone to assist with the juniors. Richard Tunningley's CV clearly covers either of those, but he was announced as being basically working with Paul Medley and the juniors. Maybe he'll do a bit of both, I dunno but, as yet, no-one from the club has said there isn't another coach coming

Well, there are grounds to suspect that at least one of us is.

This thread is confusing me also. I read the T&A article as this chap is doing both jobs - juniors and Frany's assistant. I don't expect another coach to be announced as they also set on other back room staff a few weeks ago.

So, let me get this straight............Keith Senior is coming into do Franny's job and Medley is gonna start playing for the U19's again ?? Have I missed something here or what
