What's happened to Jason Crookes? He played for FC early in the season and I've not heard mention of him since. Injured or not needed?

Last time I saw him play for Hull on Sky (Can't remember who it was against, only that Hull lost) he had a shocker, not sure if that was a one off or he's just not generally been in good form this season though.

I believe he isn't injured, just not getting near first team due to Linehan and Briscoe ahead in Pecking order. Same goes for Arundel too - but I think his defence is a liability this year.

If briscoe does leave, as seems likely it will be interesting to see if Crookes gets chance then or if they try go big money instead

Crookes has Lulia to thank for his Hull deal. He was never going to shine outside of Kirk 'it's my ball' Yeaman.

I have a high opinion of plenty. Jason Crookes is not one of them however.

The thing with Crookes is he was always only getting 1 years at the Bulls. That was clearly because the coaching team saw there was a spark of potential but it never seemed to come out. He was then paired with a good centre and Hull take an interest. Lucky for him because I'm not sure he'd have gotten a further deal under Cummins as one of the first things he did was clear a lot of what could be called dead wood in terms of players.

If he has still at Bradford he wouldn't of been as successful as last year, due to now every team knowing about Lulia's hand off and offload.

Foster for Crookes was pretty dope as it turned out. Foster twice the player.

I agree Foster does add more to the whole team in general. I just wish he was a bit quicker! For a winger his pace is awful.

To be honest I can see him moving to the centre later in his career, although we haven't really seen him in any space yet.

Lulia made him look decent in 2 or 3 games last season, been in 1st team squad for 4 year so I think we did well to let Hull think he was a good player

I'm with Eddie on this. I kept hearing about all this potential and ability Crookes had, but never saw any of it. He always looked massively overrated, and when he signed for Hull, it got a reaction of "Oh, nevermind" from me.

It was almost like Hull signed him on the strength of the length of the field interception try he scored against them in Lee Radford's Testimonial game, then realised actually he's not that good. Lineham is twice the player Crookes is, and Ben Crooks seems better than Arundel too, so good on Hull for playing the ones in form rather than the new recruits who feel like they deserve a place just based on being signed.

I liked Crookes as a player, similar to Kear in that he is a 100% tryer every game. Foster has more natural talent but lacks the heart/confidence of Crookes. I believe Foster will come good, but as a centre. I must admit to surprise at Hull signing Crookes, as others have said he is being kept out by far better players. I guess whether he stays will depend on how much they are paying him.

Crookes I thought had a good season last year with us up to his injury. His performance away at HKR was the best where he got a hattrick IIRC and made a try for Diskin with a great kick.

He has a lot of pace and was a good covering defender. He was lacking under the high kick and was a bit of a confidence player. I'd take him back at the right price.
