| Just been announced that SL will be reduced to 12 teams from 2015. I know that we have a good record overall in SL but our more recent history is definitely against us. It is unlikely we will qualify for the play-offs this year. With reduced funding next year I fear it will be a similar situation. What do people feel that our chances of getting a SL license will be?

Scraping licenses and going back to promotion and relegation are they not?

| Every team will be busting a gut to make sure they are in the 12 at the end of next season, and we're going to be up against it.
I would feel more confident if we were on a level playing field (sky money allocation) but the reality is that the squad will again be limited due to the funds available.
The odds will be against us again next year, but we need the squad to use this to create the team spirit that did us so proud in 2012.
Come the end of next season it will be probably be London and 'another', unfortunately I see us in the bracket of teams that will be avoiding the drop.

| The worrying thing is if SL decide they need a presence in London and Catalan then it is only 10 spots available.

| Surely there can not be a magic weekend then next season? It would be unfair to skew the league again if relegation is at stake.

I don't think the RFL will make that mistake, I would imagine that many fans would turn their back on the game if they saw such a crooked act from the RFL.
Also, I don't think the other teams in the comp would vote for that resolution.
Ideally the RFL need to think of a plan that allows 2 divisions of full time professionals, but without the funding (sponcers etc.) this will never happen.
Next couple of years could be make or break imo

| I'm worried about our chances if recruitment doesn't go out way. If we lose the likes of Lulia, Le'strange, Langley, Addy, Kearney, Evens and Blyth without replacing them could easily see us finishing in the bottom 2 in my opinion. FC has said 4 or 5 signings and with us having had two of them already, I fear we will need a lot more than that. Worrying times ahead.

| Far as i know by reading whats out there, it is still licenses next year so P&R will only come into affect at then end of the 2015 season unless i have been fed bogus info.
Think is going to be London (no longer exempt) plus 1 from wakey, cas, salford, widnes and us (unfortunately unless we pull our fingers out)
Edit: My mistake the bottom 2 next year will be relegated

| I think we are definitely in the frame to finish bottom 2 next year. Let's be honest, if we hadn't over performed in the first part of the season, we'd be down there now on current form.
Unfortunately we are now currently weaker than the likes of Wakefield and Widnes, whilst Salford are likely to be much better next year than they are presently. It looks like any two from London, Castleford and ourselves - and I wouldn't be surprised to see London make a huge effort to improve their squad for next season.
Without a doubt, the 50% Sky money is going to badly affect us next year. Being asked to compete with teams that not only twice as much Sky money, but also a slice of our money is immoral IMO - I just don't see how the RFL and SL can even pretend that it is a level playing field
Worrying times...

| Are the 12 to be decided on the 2 bottom clubs dropping out or on the licensing system where everything about the club is taken into account. Worrying times.

| It will simply be the two clubs at the bottom of the table come the end of next season.
To expect us to just carry on with over £500k less funding than everyone else in the league, in such a crucial season for the future of the club, is a complete and utter farce tbh.
It's like Omar said near the start of this season, the SL clubs and their chairmen are just selfish, caring only for the survival of their own side - even to the detriment of the entire sport so it seems. Nobody gives a flying f*ck about anyone but themselves, clearly. They would all sooner take that extra £50k a year than see us given a fair shot.

| O dear, what a shame; a club's supporters getting upset because their club could be excluded from the top division because of unfair treatment by the RFL.
Now where have I heard that before?

| Every other club in super league is £650,000 a year better off from central funding than us for this year and next.
If any club says they don't want bulls in super league, remember you are 50k a year better off for this year and next simply cos the bulls are still in super league
Only the RFL could preside over a farce like this

www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/s ... xt_season/
Ryan Whitcut saying the Bulls will spend the full salary cap and look for a squad between 30 and 34 which is great but it doesn't feel like the message we're getting from FC.
Didn't something similar happen last year whereby the club said we'd spend the cap and then FC pretty much said he'd spent up?
This isn't a complaint, I think Carvell and Ferguson are quality additions. It's just unclear and if we're going to have a squad of 34, FC needs to sign 12-15. Sounds unlikely.

| I think we have to spend the full cap for next season even without the Sky backing. It is going to be make or break next season and if we end up in the bottom 2 next year it will have a massive effect on the team so if you don't spend the money now then it could be worthless spending after you have already gone down.
At the moment I think we will be fighting to avoid the drop next year with Cas and London, the others seem to strong to end up in the bottom 2 without seeing the recruitment yet! But I also think KR might struggle next season, Dobson and Patterson will be hard to replace and they, like us, struggle with money it would seem

| It will be interesting to see how clubs in the bottom half of the table approach next season. There must be a temptation to concentrate on winning games against other clubs in the bottom half rather than trying to make the play offs. I can see a few half strength teams being sent to places like Wigan & Warry in order to save the troops for more winnable games.

From me and I was ridiculed for the suggestion.
What is a greater worry is the level of competence of the officials - they could soon see a team off.

From the T&A
Quote At yesterday’s meeting, general manager Ryan Whitcut urged the 13 other clubs to relent and allow the Bulls the missing cash as opposed to it being carved up by the rest of Super League for the second year running.
His plea fell on deaf ears'"
The ironic thing is, whilst we won't get the £600,000 during the season, we WILL get £500,000 if we are relegated!
