Exit station, turn left at lights. At roundabout turn left and follow signs for Odsal, approx 1.5 - 2 miles

Dont exit station, The bus station is attached. Just get on the 268, 624, 626 623 all will take you to the ground 10mins by bus

It's a fair way. You wouldn't want to walk it. Come through the barriers and down the steps. Over to the left are steps going up. Go up there and there's a bus station. 268, 363, 625 all go past the ground from up there. There's a 363 (Huddersfield) and a 625 (Brighouse) both at about 14:20. Both will be full of people in colours, it will be obvious when to get off. The next ones are at 14:50 which will get you there for just after kick off. To be fair, it's a long while since I've lived in Bradford, but the lower half of Manchester Road, around the Park Road area, was not a good a good place to walk.

I've never actually lived down that end of town to be fair, but I've never had any problems walking/running up Manch - except the carbon monoxide from all the stationary vehicles trying to move up the road!

It's a few years since i have walked up there to/from Odsal but i have never had any problems there or anywhere else in Bradford. Paranoid rubbish.

Same here. It looks rough but that's another matter. There are some places in Bradford I wouldn't choose to hang around like outside some of the city centre pubs and clubs at chucking out time but that's about it.

However (and I never know when they are running in which direction) surely the OP should if possible treat himself to a trip on a "Guided Bus", surely the ultimate transport white elephant in recorded history? Complete with chicanes, crossovers, umpteen dedicated traffic lights and junctions, singing bus-shelters and all the rest?

How could he dare to miss that?

It is quite a sight. Lord knows how much it cost. A simple "bus lane" with some cameras to deter car drivers using it would've been suitable. Those enormous orange bus shelters blend in so nicely with the surrounds too
