This is true, but I'm certain that recently refs have been directed on the QT to pack in giving penalties wherever feasible, as it has been noticeable how all of a sudden in so many games, basically little or nothing is penalised for long stretches, if the refs feel they can let it go. I don't believe this is coincidence.

The Salford game, in which we got nearly all the pens (11-3 I think the count was) was still poorly controlled. He just never seemed to have a grip on things.

If they started a whinging on a Wednesday it would score against them, but I quite like Bradford so am discounting it. I would love it, love it, more than Kevin Keegan, if Bradford won. The Wigan Whinge would be on overdrive.

FA's half time rant on his iphone vs Saints (IIRC) is my favourite of the season so far. I will allow a non-Wigan whinge within 24 hours of KO as long as it's as heartfelt as FA's. Otherwise it has to be after KO. The rules are clear.
