Just heard a rumour that all the Sky Saturday games will Kick off at 4.45 instead of 6pm, a mad rush to get to Cas game in time now from Sheffield. Not happy as it's the first time we will be sponsoring a match, and will probably be late. Anyone know if true.

Don't if its a general thing but the game against cas has definitely been brought forward to 16.45

Hope not, won't be able to make it, will have a game that won't finish till about 4.

The RFL are a joke & disgrace. They should ignore revenue & schedule games around your personal availablity. I will not be attending any further games. Ever.

Joking aside, there is an issue here for the paying supporters.

Kicking off 4.45 pm obviously suits the schedule for Sky TV, but it doesn't help anyone who works a regular working day and finishes at, say, 5.00 pm. Nor does it help anyone playing an amateur rugby match or attending a football game or any one of a plethora of other reasons.

As it happens, I can make a 4.45 pm kick off - but I suspect there's a decent number of people who can't. Those are people who pay to go to matches - people regarded as unimportant to Sky TV.

You might as well lament at the rising and setting of the sun. It would be equally as fruitless.

Joking aside, the point I wanted to make was that most amateur players will struggle to attend. I imagine the Bulls and other SL clubs have many season ticket holders that play rugby for a hobby?

Presumably it will just be Saturday sky games affected though, so (with my bulls hat on) given were hardly on sky this year shouldn't affect us too much. Take your point about wider game though. Wonder if its crossed sky's mind that if people struggle to get to live games they may have to watch on sky instead potentially meaning extra sky subscribers?. Doesn't help the sport but helps sky make money.
