I get the feeling that both Camps did things for what they percieved were the right reasons and both got it badly wrong. The problems basically stop at the former Directors and Main Shareholders doors and nowhere else that I can see. Noble was honest on The Super League Show and deserves the right to have his conduct viewed as in the best possible interests of the club rather than himself. A key factor in this is the salaries certain people were being paid. As far as more people talking this is certain to emerge. Potter would certainly stay if the money was right but he also seems to be pitching Franny Cummins for the job as a potentially cheaper option.

Comments from Mr Khan over the weekend in France seems to suggest that he wants Potter to stay and is willing to back him in the market.

I hope so. I think that if Potter stays, then more of the players might too.

Potential players are more likely to want to come to a club coached by someone with the reputation of Potter than, say, Cummins. All respect etc.

First choice has to be Potter and coaching setup staying as it is. If retaining Potter isn't possible from a financial POV then how about following. Promote Cummings to head coach, which should Helvetic retaining current players and continuity. Then bring in Noble as director of rugby. This could be a part time role to keep costs down and allow Noble to keep doing his lucrative media work, But gives FC an experienced mentor and helps attracting new players.

I suspect too much has happened for Noble to return in any capacity for the foreseeable future. If it isn't Potter then I'd like to see Daryl Powell get the job. I certainly wouldn't give it to Cummins.
