Although he'll need better ball retention than he showed yesterday to cut it in the NRL

Can't blame him at all really, his entire family is over there now!
Still, he'll be lucky to make a first team appearance next season and out of all 4 brothers he is probably 4th in the selection process for MM.

That's probably why they've only given him an initial one year contract. If things don't work out, then he can come back - sadly, it probably won't be for us

he's been defending him to the lads when they have dared say that Caisley is crooked and caused bulls downfall in overthrowing hood & putting us in admin.

It's a shame to lose another Burgess to South Sydney but he leaves with my best wishes. In the two years since George left I think he has steadily improved into the best Prop of his age group in SL. Hopefully the SL experience gained will have accelerated his develop beyond George. Perhaps one day we'll once again get to see the brothers in Bulls shirts if we manage to get ourselves out of this huge mess.

Nice that his agent is acting in our interests. Thoughtful of him.

Looking inevitable. They're a very tight group though and I'm sure they will give it everything they have to sneak into the 8. Perhaps a hint of 2005? I wouldn't be daft enough to suggest we can go all the way, but making the 8 would be an amazing achievement considering the circumstances.

No point standing in his way if he wants to leave to join his brothers, especially with George starting to get games this year. From what (little) I've seen of him and George, Sam will always be the star amongst the four of them, as he has speed and athleticism the others just don't have.

I suspect the boys combined will also be able to make some dough from ads outside RL if/when they are all appearing regularly for Souths. Although they may have to be subtitled for your average Sydneysider....

As an aside: Do the Aussies not have a limit on overseas players?
