| dont know if this has been mentioned or which thread to put it so mods feel free to move it.
according to todays Daily Mirror it says that 5 SL clubs will vote against a Newco Bradford staying in SL. It needs 7 to vote against them to give them quorate although the RFL can veto any decision by the clubs.
Dont know where that leaves Bradford or SL for this season.

They arent this week. But if a newco buys the bulls they will.. although it is down to the RFL ultimately.
Curious which 5 are against it.

Hmmm so if we are bought we will still be Bradford Bulls Holdings Ltd and there wouldnt be a vote? I saw this in the sun too.. Do they get to vote due to the fact we've entered admin?

It suggests [url=http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/jul/04/mike-potter-bradford-bullshere[/url that the clubs do get a vote, but that the vote wouldn't be binding:
=#0080FFThe League has arranged a meeting with the other 13 Super League clubs for Friday, but only to inform them of the current situation. The clubs would be given a vote over whether a new club should be docked points or dropped down to the Championship, although the final word rests with the RFL's board of directors, none of whom have club ties.

| Guess if there was serious consideration being given to reducing the size of SL - then voting to kick out the Bulls now would take some of the pressure off the smaller, less well supported clubs who would have been more at risk if the Bulls had not got themselves into the mess.

No idea on the last point, but yes it COULD be the same entity. In practice, if it was me doing it I would try and ringfence the old company by keeping it active as the vehicle for the CVA, but transferring the business undertaking to a new company with a very strong security in favour of the old company to protect the creditors' interests. But that then WOULD be a Newco, in all likelihood.
You could indeed leave the existing company in place, but that would mean finding some way of removing the shareholders who were not in your camp, or inducing them to go. Whether the public damnation for stymying a viable way forward for the club would be enough to help faciltate that, in view of some of the clear hatreds between them, I really would not want to risk a guess!

Any small time club insecure about their own future in SL. I would like to think that any club who has done this in the past would not vote against us (even though the rules have now been changed) as a point of honour. But i doubt it.

Caisley voted against London being re-admitted, IIRC. It would be prudent to assume that Mr Hughes might feel entitled to return the favour?

Then it would be the same club that in 8/9 months has had huge advances/loans, sold its ground, got its fans to raise 500K, had players selling rings/medals, had directors and shareholders squabbling in the media, gone into administration, sacked loyal coaches and staff, snubbed players etc etc.
It is possible that SL clubs think removing such a club from SL is an appropriate action.
There will also be clubs targeting bulls players and keen not to pay transfer fees and maybe clubs wanting a share of the Sky money.

| Well Wigan and Warrington chairmen have already said they will vote to keep us in. I bet my left ballsack that Salford, Castleford, London, Wakefield and Hull KR are the 5.
Castleford and Salford have financial problems.
Wakey are taking the p*ss with their stadium.
Hull KR are financially not in the best of places.
We voted London out ages ago (they have gone down bad since then too).
If we go out all them 5 teams will be more secure, they will be thinking about themselves rather than what we could potentially do. If the Bulls become a strong force again we would take 2,000-2,500 to there grounds, basically giving them money.

Wouldnt you do the same? i would.
If all these clubs you stated are in dire straights with their own finances then i suggest this would provide an opportunity to secure a larger slice of the 'Sky Pie'. And give them all a stronger place in the elite division.
I dont think alot of SL 'fans' actually appreciate how much the Sky money does when running a SL club.
Bradford fans may well find out sooner rather than later.

| I dont think you are correct with the 5 Bulls Boy.
Those clubs in trouble would be daft to vote against wouldnt they knowing they would face the same situation very soon?
Really shouldn`t be up to the clubs - should come down to integrity etc & I still feel Fev, Fax & Barrow (who applied for a Franchise) - do have a Legal case to pursue. if they wanted.

i would suggest that Fax do as we were actually rated on the franchise ladder and got a grade C.
Fev didnt apply and barrow were miles off.
The RFL need to think very carefully, not only in the short term if the Bulls are to survive and run till the end of the season but also in the longterm. what will happen come the off season? and into 2013?
This whole scenario is going to pick afew holes in the RFL's little 'Francise baby' and it will all be done across the nations tabloids.
I for one watch on with anticipation.

| I'd be happy with 4 points. It's what we and Crusaders had imposed. Provided the new company can show financial stability (i.e., charge the going rate to get in!), then what's the problem?

Don't like your assumption about Wakefield. As for taking the mickey regarding our stadium, if you're not up to date, we have had our PI passed for a new stadium at Newmarket. Don't be in a rush to make assumptions about others.

| The problem would be Slugger that the new Directors have got into SL for a mere pittance. I feel that the newco should start lower down if RFL has any integrity at all.

| You have PI passed but have you actually laid a brick yet and sold off Belle Vue? No. If your ground gets delayed then you could face a license review as I believe you promised it to be done in time for 2014. Granted I think your further on than Cas but correct me if im wrong. Cas are worse off because of their financial position.
And also to Early Bath, I believe I am because without the Bulls then they get more money which may secure them financially so they may not have to face the same situation and if they vote the Bulls out then find themselves in that position later in the line then there are no Bulls to vote against them so they wouldn't really have nothing to fear.
Fax won't come up, they have just announced a £20,000 profit at Championship which is excellent so they won't ruin that by coming up to Super League and having to pay Super League costs, upping season tickets and losing fans because they will be beaten every week. What's best for Fax is to stay down and keep making profit and playing good rugby and competing for trophies, they don't deserve to be a 3rd rate Super League team being beat week in week out.
And yes Annakin it might but our stadium is a Grade B whereas Wakey's is Grade C.

| If Bradford get voted out it's entirely down to the previous regime's management. Although, it would be silly if your a club struggling financially to vote Bradford out as that would set a presidence.

Wheres your evidence then?
Would you elaborate on Wakefield and the stadium please and quantify how Wakefield are taking the p*ss as you put it.
FWIW having gone through this last year and staying in SL I would thnk Mr Glover would be one person who has a great deal of sympathy with your current plight.
Now talking of taking the p*ss have you paid players and had mages up to the cap for several years without having the income to cover it? The support from the RFL has been phemomenol for you your lease has been bought out (why) but you have tax liabilities in the main if what has been reported is fact (image rights is it and VAT etc). The support you have had hardly lloks like the RFL will cast you out regardless of what the clubs think.
If I were you I would wind your neck in about this and concentrate on getting out of admin and avoiding liquidation. 12 months ago after admin Wakey were destinbed for Champoinship rugby with less that 1% of teh support you have had from the RFL. Think yourself lucky and fight your cause and dont criticise other clubs.
