I'm taking part in the fundraising walk on friday.
All are welcome, and if you don't have the time to gain sponsorship before friday you can make a donation yourself or bring a bucket along! Even just walking to show your support is good, the more numbers we have the stronger we are.
Anyone wanting to sponsor the walk (its an easy way to give a small amount, anything helps) I can do it through paypal on here. Will take down name, address and put it on sponsorship form.

What route are you taking? I am a Leeds fan but my mate is a bull fan coming up for the game and staying at mine. am assuming the parking will be a nightmare so we were thinking of walking. Can anyone tag along who can carry a bucket?

If anyone is getting a train to headingley then the plan of action is to meet at wetherspoons in Leeds train station at 12pm and the train to Headingly leaves at 12.36.
We can then walk up to Headingly stadium with an aim to leave at 1pm.
Anyone who's getting there by another method it would be good to get there between 12.45 and 1pm.
Below are the directions that we can use. This should get us to odsal between 4-5 depending if we stop anywhere. (Taking about 3.5 hours @ 9.6 miles)
If anyone has any buckets we can use for collections and you dont mind bringing them then that would be good. Hoping to see you all there.

Are there any planned stops for refreshments ? There are quite a lot of pubs along that route , It might be worth contacting them .
After you pass the rugly pitches on Leeds-Bradford Road there is The Acorn , closely followed by The Rock . A bit of a trek to the Halfway House which is the next one , but that is the first of a few close together . Waggon & Horses , Jug & Barrel , The Crown , and the Travellers Rest . Nothing after those until you get to The Farmers . There used to be a fair few more on that route . If you were to contact those pubs it might be worth a detour up Whitecote Lane after The Rock . That would get you The Globe and The Beacon . Those two are on Broad Lane and that goes directly to the Halfway House .

I walked up to the touchdown twice and after that I realised it was a ba$tard!
Worth it though!

Was nice meeting you all . My mates wanted to walk down to the train station after the game . No way was I taking another step . I rang for a taxi . Legs and feet are ok today , it's my back that's aching .
The 'gentleman' that caused a problem near The Beacon pub on Broad Lane will be 'spoken' to in the very near future .
