Jason Crookes looks to have improved so much, so far this season he definatly deserves his place on the wing. He is good under the high ball and decent in defence, overall i think he's been our best player this year.
As for John Bateman, he is quality, loves to get stuck in and has some fire in his belly, his cut out pass to Crookes was brilliant.

Agree completely, I'll be honest I had written off Crookes, boy has he proved me wrong this season.

yeah, if he continues in the current form he is showing, we might look at signing him.

For an 18 year old to put in a performance like that against a world class side is very impressive.

You already tried 2 seasons ago, with the offer of buying him his own personal Mercedes but he rejected it for his home town club

It's frightening how good Bateman could be and I like the way he sticks up for his team mates. Other players should take note.

Crookes hasn't put a foot wrong all season. He keeps performing and he's still only 21.

Crookes has already been quoted inthe T&A saying he'd like a new deal at Bradford. From his showings so far I'd say he's certainly worth one.

Bateman's got the makings of a very good player indeed.

I know Bateman is still early in his Bulls career but I would love the club to get him secured on a long term deal like we see Leeds doing with their top young players. He is the sort of player we simply cannot afford to be losing to rival SL clubs.

Bateman is contracted till end of 2014 so we signed him for 4 years last year :/

Well its 2012 now so 2014 isnt so far away. Giving him five years and and getting him tied in till 2017 isnt going to hurt him or us. We dont want to be going the same way as we are doing with Tom Burgess and leaving his signing until the last minute. Tom should have been signed up 12 months back. And look what happened with Wardle.

I guess the danger is that he might well be earning a lot less than most players in the squad. He might well start asking himself why he is playing 1st team but getting paid less than Paul Syke or whoever. I'm sure there will be clubs looking to lure him away if he feels his current salary doesn't reflect his worth to the team.

Very impressed with Crookes so far this season. Another superb cover tackle where he took 10 meters off Myler (I think), made the next tackle from marker and then got back to his wing. Did really well to get under Monaghan for his try and his kick returns are strong. Starting to look a very good player.
