| ok, heres my big confession. I have not pledged for myself, my wife, or my three children this year. There is one major reason why: The club have given me no idea how much I will be committed to paying if the pledge target is not hit. In todays economic climate, I cannot commit to anything that invovles me signing up for something without knowing how much it will cost. i accept having to do this with my mortgae, and fuel bills, but they are an essential part of life and at the moment a Bulls season ticket is not! I wouldve pledged if the price was right, but the club are conjouring up the prices today. Just wondering how many other people are like me, and if that couldve made a positive difference?

| Either way £100 for the season is still worthwhile if you go to 5 games or more.

Correct. And even those pledging and not in first 3k to pay were only commiting to buy at the £75 price point.

| so, in theory, 9000 people pledge. club announce ground tickets at £150.
3000 get themn for 75. two thousand more pay 150, and the other 4000 dont bother because its not as cheap as they hoped and there was no actual commitment?
Theres a flaw in this isnt there????
in effect the club could have the equivalent of as little as 3000 people actually having to pay! i suppose that keeps us afloat for a few weeks!
I know, I missed the boat on the first 3000 as i was away, but who knows if its going to be £100 ??? thats the point i was making. perhaps publishing the sliding scale during the pledge period might have let a few poelpe like me sleep a little easier and pledge???

| I guess the club had to have an idea of numbers before deciding on the final figures.
You'll have to wait and see.

Sliding scale was published!. Basically ticket goes up by £7.50 for every 1000 below 12k target we are. So 10k pledges should be £90 for example. Whether they stick to this scale in view of poorer than expected response we'll find out tomorrow.

Was in the FAQ on the website I think. Also in the mailing and in t&a articles.
Edit: just double checked and breakdown is in pledge FAQ. Not quite as simple as £7.50 per 1000 as they've weighted figures a bit round pledge target. 11k is £80, 10k is £90 which is what I suspect final figure will be based on how much out counter was last year.

But you would only be pledging on the prices they have offered, not pledging for prices if targets not met.
And............ even if you pledged they cannot force you to buy anyway
So the attitude that you take as well as many others no doubt have is probably the reason the pledge total was never going to be reached, and even if the pledge figure was reached they still cant force you to buy a season ticket.
If not pledging to help the club out in buying a ticket a pledge could of still been made with the chance to help out fellow supporters get a lower priced ticket in the "current financial climate"

just found the pledge FAQs section. It gives price allocations for pledges of 10000+ members. nothing below.
so no certainty of cost.
also, it states that by pledging you are entering into a contract that is binding. I am guessing this is at the £75 level, but its not made clear.
thought yours was a good response until you suggested i should pledge to help others get it at a cheaper price. surely thats not a selling point?

Ha ha i know just me being selfish but i would buy a season ticket regardless of the pledge anyway, if you would have pledged and they did not reach 10000+ then you are not commiting to anything so therefore would not be binded to buy which is a point well made by Adeybull in your other post,
it is mis-guiding a little bit but you are pledging to buy ONLY if 10000+ are met at a set price

| As a marketing exercise this whole 'pledge take 2' was always going to fail. I think last year the pledge was an excellent idea and was really well implemented and achieved it's goal for the year. Having then copied this idea and moved the goal posts twice (in increasing the cost per ticket and the amount needed to achieve) for the 2012 season there was always only going to be a slim chance that this would have been achieved.
I think the way that they marketed the pledge has been good this year, but there is still no transparency from the club around the specifics of the pledge - more transparency and there would be less cases of isaac1 and plenty more pledges.
A longer pledge period would have been good, or a shift from the pledge into a more solid platform of - first 3000 get it for £75, next 3000 get it for £85 and so on and so on. But who knows - it's always going to be a struggle with so much negativity surrounding the on pitch performances.

| No brainier really - by increasing pledge numbers, you are helping other fans who have also pledged.
The problem is that when the prices are announced, they will probably stay at said price for the entire season. Fans that did not pledge will then purchase for the price requested and we may then have 1000-2000 fans paying a higher fee. Collectively, these fans could have made a contribution to the pricing, but for one reason or another, decided not to pledge.
Shame really, people should have requested more information if uncertain. Those, that realistically, thought the club would take legal action to recover the amount if you didn't fulfil the pledge obligation, are mad. The club need money, they are not going to waste legal fees recovering £95 from each individual, to also lose them as a future supporter!
I do find it odd that people are stating the reasons they didn't pledge, which the confusion could have been cleared up by simply calling the club or posting on here. But said individuals would rather query after the pledge deadline, to then say "If I had known that last week!".....
The club needs the support of everyone, more now than ever!!

| It's also been said on this forum that it was possible to buy a £75 guaranteed ticket as recently as last week. Those 3000 were only for those actually pay, not just for the first 3000 pledges.
So, the 'I was away so didn't pledge' argument seems odd, unless the OP has holidays that last for two months!

So it does
Looks like tomorrows announcement will be a pledge extension (until October 21st or thereabouts?)
Would be an eminently sensible move 'for mine'

Or it could be deadline for people renewing reserved seating as mentioned in other thread. a pledge extension would make sense, particulary given uncertainty around lynch and further recruitment, but would have thought they would announce it before reseting counter.

| Surely an extension of a weeks extension and them clarifying the pledge would be sufficient,
Just seems a bit rushed in the first place TBH
