| After watching that yesterday it really dies show we have no idea in attack. Why do we always try and go up the middle and try bully teams every game? We are not the team we was many years ag when we could!!! Dumb rugby. Ainscough and raynor didn't once get the ball on the wing and had to come in for it everytime! Aincough and raynor have showed that they ate very difficult to stop when in space so why don't we get the ball out more often? Poor play. I still feel like we are missing a class centre. Platt IMO is a very solid player for us who we have without a doubt missed. Walker is ok but feel he be better in 2nd row. If we still had Menzies and had him with Ainscough that really would have Been a threat! Thoughts

| spot on bulls1989 .. they need to get the ball out wide more , or a nice little kick over the top into space give the lads something to run at , i like ainy he shows alot of commitment and he must be getting well p***ed off that they are not using him enough , they is no doubt him and platty were making a good partnership and we are really missing platt at , also agree chev imo is better at second row , but who fills at (shad) ?? , imo i think paddy plays better on the wing than ..
a quality would be at the top off my shopping list !!!

| First time I've been able to watch Briggs play and deary me he looks terrible. Herbert doesn't look much better (try aside which was pretty awful defending).
Here's hoping it was a one-off for Briggs.

To be fair, that chip over the top works every time. I don't know why players don't try it more. It's quite obvious to us on the terraces and those in the commentating booth that if they just chipped it over the top, all the defending players would just stand and look at the ball, while sidestepping to allow our player to run through the line and re-gather it. I don't know why more players don't do it considering it's not possible to defend against.

| A quality Loose Forward would be top of my shopping list. Somebody who can get a quick wide pass out to the Wingers/Centres so we don't have to try and go up the middle every time. Herbert and Briggs need game time together, Southernwood needs time to develope. Potter needs to sort discipline and defense out. We ain't gonna win anything this year, all we can hope for is improvement.

| A quality packman, not a lynch type but more of an enforcer, eg. Peacock, Morley, Pauletua.

That's a shuuuuperb point, they've just got to the message out there. They should go for the one pointer as early as possible as well. Third minute should do it. Could be crucial, you see.

isn't that the first receiver's (stand off) job? to get the ball and distribute as they see fit? one of the 20k in 20 days videos on the bulls youtube channel shows us in 2005 spreading the ball the width of the park in 2 passes and Leon scoring. You don't need a loose forward for that IMO.

| It is really the number 6, but the loose can, and does, depending on the circumstances, take that role. Our problem is that there isn't one identifiable position where we are looking lost; in the last game (Ok, I'm going [islightly[/i over the top) there were about 13, IIRC. To be more serious the area we look weak in does seem to move about week to week. Potter must be tearing his hair out.
The other big problem is that there isn't much available mid-season (and incidentally, I don't think Gleeson would have been anywhere near the answer. A couple of years ago maybe, but he's nothing like the player he was and comes with far too much baggage. Hull's as good a place as any ) and, in any case, we have a more than one good candidate for loose forward coming through the ranks with Addy, Donaldson and Olbison all looking very promising.

| Addy would give us another option for distributing the ball. He was looking quite handy before he got injured (no pun intended).
