| Is it just me or are there some real deadheads on there?
I'd go as far as to say some of the comments are proper offensive to me as a Bulls fan. It's actually quite embarrassing some of the absolute garbage on there.
In my mind I'm right in thinking they are complete tools - a lot of them not all - as even my 60 odd year old dad has noticed it and he only started using the internet last week. One particular comment from someone calling themself Philicity, Germany after the article mid week about hood confirming the pledge scheme had been a success read:
Quote Hood will keep kidding himself with his 11k season ticket holders ( = 3-4k at full price ) Performances on the pitch will continue to be average like the full set up.What Hood does not realise is when he offered people to buy another season ticket cheap his loyal supporters are outside selling on match to match basis outside to away fans Ha Ha'"
Is this bloke for real? What complete and utter rubbish! I bet this bloke wasn't coming out with diatribe after the reports on our grand final wins?
IMHO something needs to be done if they are even complaining about the pledge scheme (some of them most have been nothing but supportive from what I can see). All it takes is 1 t0sser and the whole thread becomes negative.

| So how would you sell your season ticket pass on a match to match basis, exactly? Lend it to someone and trust them to throw it back over the wall in your direction? What a fookin idiot.

| They are brainless sad glory supporters not real fans, the amount of abuse they give the fans (often very nasty) in particular Sykes, he gets absolutely hammered on t&a and it is unjust and out of order. I blame the t&a for allowing such a facility. Even when bulls win you get some creatures slating players and when bulls lose boy you can can expect over 50 posts- they love it and thrive on writing derogatory vile personal insults about certain players. I remember the season before last platt was getting whet amounted to a character assassination. A lot of 'leaks' come out from friends of so called Players!! I also suspect some posts are from players hiding behind user names as some stuff written is slanderous. The people who post have probably never held a rugby ball in their life. Did anyone read the abuse lynch got after he said stop the booing? Ha it was cringe worthy thru wanted captaincy taken off etc.,....

| They're the sort of person who, if they came on here, would get their accounts banned very quickly.
They get their information about the club, game etc from "some bloke in the pub" and believe it wholeheartedly.
They come out with some absolute rubbish on pretty much every story.
I find it best to just ignore them

| As a neutral with no particular affinity to the T&A, I have to say that I find a selection of childish, stupid comments on both the T&A site and also in equal amounts on this site.

| It's always good for a laugh though if you having a bad day at work.
And it's a real job trying to get into the ground these days with 11000 people trying to sell me their match pass. Honestly.

It beggars belief that the club would set up a system which allows fans to use a ticket more than once. Once the scanned info is input onto the computer it would undoubtedly flag up double (or worse!) use of a card and it would surely be cancelled.

| Before the Wigan game there was a bloke at the Top House offering his "spare" ticket to Wigan fans for a tenner - all you need to do is agree to go through the same turnstile as them and get your "spare" card back once you've both been through. I very much doubt there are many of people who have bought a season ticket for that purpose, but it's easily done.
With regards to the point of this post for some reason people seem to give too much legitimacy or status to things written on the internet, just like you'd ignore the idiot in the pub talking about the game why get worked up about someone writing ?

I think the biggest difference between the pub bore and the internet warrior is time. Hot air expended in the pub just goes into the air and disappears as fast as it comes, whilst equally worthless junk on a message board remains in situ until......well, I don't know, probably until the server gives up the ghost and all posts on it are lost. I think it's this (semi) permanence which probably gives unwarranted weight to written work, even message boards.
Maybe, as well, people realise that it's just so much easier to make comments in the pub without engaging the thought processes? After all you can't edit what you say in the pub, and when it's said, it's said. I think though, there is an assumption that a bit more thought has gone into written work, simply because it takes that little bit more effort, which means people are likely to take it a bit more seriously. Not always a good idea, of course.......

Yep that's exactly how it's done.
Not just at Odsal, everywhere. That is precisely how I managed to get into the Nou Camp to see Barca v Villareal a few years ago. 30 Euros for myself and the missus - bargain!

As pubs continue to close down and more people stay at home with their ever increasing array of communication devices I think this is a case of the evolution of society in action.

I guess you can't stop technical innovation and yeah the ways in which we interact keep changing but it's the same old dingbats pressing the keys (or maybe using the voice converting software )
