Don't get me wrong I like the banner, and it is the banner I voted for but having seen it up there it doesn't look like a banner for a rugby league forum does anyone else agree? In comparison to other fan sites, southstander and the Wigan one for example

Why is ours smaller than other sites?

I like the design though, better than the Wigan one in my opinion. I think Hull KR probably have the best design that I've seen.

I like it, I voted for it and I think it looks good up there.

I don't particularly like it (although I like the concept). I didn't vote for it (although I defo would have done for his earlier sepia one, had that not been disallowed due to copyright). But I respect the result of the democratic vote.

But I also take my hat off to him and to the others who had a go. Its dead easy to criticise and moan about something that someone else has put time, effort and creativity into.

It Looks Like an Advert for the Costa Brava. Get it Changed! Its too Mordern Art for most folk tastes, although I do appreciate the subtleness of the Imagaging! Good Try but not for a Rugby League Forum!

My only comment is it should be a bit thicker but apart from that I like it.

My only niggle would be the size of the banner, although I do appreciate this is part of the new ruling with banners.

All designers changed their designs to accommodate the "ruling" but having had a look around, it's not apparently a ruling that is enforced on other clubs' pages, which does seem a tad unfair.

Though not as unfair as it is on josefw's black bull - which to accommodate the narrow height has had its nads cut off

Ultimately all sites will have to adhere to the new banner size.

Given we were having a competition, which the above banner was winner as voted by the majority, we were asked to fit in with the new size requirements.

Can we change it? Yes we could.

Will we be doing so? No. The comp was there for all to use their vote. Whilst a forum isn't a true democracy (does any really exist?) Josefw entry won by virtue of it being the one recieving the most votes.

End of . . . until next year, where we may well "commission" the banner and impose it . . . . . given the amount of comments following a vote

What did your entry look like?

I voted for it and still think it looks great. Right colours, right order, right size, right expectations of featured elements moving on for better pay / lifestyle.

Any word on whether the bull is likely to report back for pre-season training?

At the moment it doesn't bother me either way about the banner as I still have the old one displaying on my screen, is the new one supposed to be up??? So no change here.....maybe I'm just stuck in the past

i had to hit CTRL+F5 to get the new banner to show. my browser must have cached the old image.

i bet this new banner will be quicker to load on my mobile too, although not tried yet.
