Very bad news for the unfortunate Halley. I have to say that last season I was very disappointed that all year he never seemed to show any real pace, as if he had lost some, and he also looked to have put on maybe a bit too much bulk, which may not be unconnected. If the injury further takes the edge off his pace then his prospects will be much reduced.

There was nothing he could have done to prevent this, not when the two Scotland props just picked him up and crunched him.

I knew as soon as it happend and Dave was down and out in trouble that he had problems.

Later on in the Castleford game he was up and limping around.

I wonder if his absence will have an effect on his final year at the club, I know many on here don't rate him where I do.

I know what you're saying, but this sort of thing is why most teams don't put out proper sides for the nines. It's not considered an important competition, so why risk injuring first team players?

I think this season was an exception to that golden rule after the poor season we've had in Super League.
