Anyway nice one after 10 days we at 50% which is a very good response and I feel quite confident now of making the big 10K.

As I said in another post, 5000 should have been easy as the Bulls have ~ 5000 qualifying season ticket holders. The hard work starts now because its pretty much all new 'customers' from here on. Fingers crossed that the Bulls have a good campaign plan to keep the momentum going!

especially considering 3 of those 10 days were a bank holiday weekend where no pledges were taken other than online ones.

i have never got a season ticket before nor has my brother and we have both pledged! i know quite a few people who have pledged and have never had any kind of membership before......the figure will keep growing dont you worry

I know at least 4 pledges including myself and my gf who aren't currently.

I made a pledge on the evening of the Wakefield game... not heard anything back though to confirm this. Should I have got some kind of acknowledgement?

the pledge system overloaded due to numbers coming in, in first day or so. there should have been an automated email acknowledgement but these didnt go out. Club is confident that they received any pledges and problem was only with the email. If you saw the thankyou screen after you submitted your pledge you are ok, if not might be worth dropping club an email to check they have your pledge.

I would guess we have 10 k already pledged. This is more about keeping the interest up to get 15k!

Yes, both you and my lot who did the same should have. Despite protestations of "overload" - which should have been factored into the pledges administration - almost 2 weeks later there is no repsonse.
Its looking like a front-end marketing operation with no substance in follow up.

T&A tonight have details of ticket prices (which are not on the Bulls web site)
10,000 pledges = £60 ticket
9,000 pledges = £67 ticket
8,000 pledges = £75 ticket
7,000 pledges = £86 ticket
6,000 pledges = £100 ticket
5,000 pledges = £120 ticket

So we're up to the £120 mark so far. Still cheaper than last year!

So we could already have 6,000 pledges?

The fact we've conveniently hit exactly 5k suggests one of a number of things for me.
One, we genuinely have counted up to 5k pledges.
Two, we have more than 5k pledges but haven't been able to get them processed so an arbitrary number was put up
Three, we have the 10k already and the club are just winding out the interest to try and get as many people to pledge as possible.

I'd love it to be three, but I doubt it.

I'm guessing its somewhere between Roofaldos options 2 and 3.

I think we have more than 5000 - because an exact 5000 is just toooooo convenient. But I doubt we've got the full 10K.

I'm pretty confident we'll get the 10,000 - but I'm not expecting it to be officially announced until a day or two before the deadline. And, frankly, why should it be? The Bulls Marketing team need to promote this to the max, and get every single last pledge in. If we end up with 12K or 15K then good for them - and for all of us. So there's no point in hitting the magic figure three weeks before the deadline and killing the buzz....

Exactly, 10k may be the minimum, but every pledge beyond that goes towards shoring up the short-fall produced by the cheap tickets.

I think you hit the nail on the head there. The first 5000 was going to be easy, but the second 5000 is going to be tough.

The club needs to up the marketting. With only 4 weeks to go to the deadline it could so easily become forgotton about

Well tonight is our last game of the season. I would hope the club would pop a few people outside the DW and try for a few more pledges before teh game

Oh, yes, let's get the cheque book out. 5000 x £60 is £300,000. What additional marketing spend are you proposing to attract this? A half million pound slot in the middle of Corrie for a month?

As far as I can see the club has done what it can, no doubt still has some budget spend remaining, and is relying a lot on supporters to print off the posters and spread the news to targetted possible fans. I don't think you have any reasonable basis whatsoever for your criticism.

Was interesting to see the figures, we all need to keep hammering home the fact that we are getting a cheaper ticket, the more who sign up, the cheaper it gets. Even if we got 8000, a £75 ticket is very good.

Its a good idea, but I suspect that if you take the trouble to travel to wigan on a friday night with nothing but pride to play for and an [ialmost [/icertain defeat (sorry for the defeatist attitude but its true, just ask the bookies

) then I reckon you will not only pledge but you probably already have.

I would seriously doubt you'll find many in the bradford crowd tonight who are not going to pledge for next season.

It's just as likely to be 5000 as 5001 or 5002 or any number. Just as 1,2,3,4,5,6 are just as likely to be the lottery results as any other set of 6 numbers.
