And it also looks good imo that this has been announced before any potential renewal for the 2 underperforming wingers.

If Sheriffe or Reardon was to get another contract (and I don't know if they will or not), it makes more sense to announce Finigan's first, as it almost gives the impression of that being more important as he's played better than the other two.

I'd be tempted to play Meli in the centres (if we actually sign him).

On the Wigan board someone says we've offered Karl Pryce a 2 year deal.

It would make sense, given the whole 'homegrown' subject Mr Duffy highlighted so strongly during the fans' forum.
Whether he would actually improve our squad or not is another matter.

Finnigan getting one year is right. He's a lot to prove and deserves a shot.

I'd agree with that.

He needs to play at least until he beats a couple of players to score a try so a report can refer to them being left in Finigan's wake.
