| Lot of possession. Did nothing with it.
Pretty much sums up the game for Bradford I feel.

| The fact that we can't beat one of the rubbing rags of the league at home, shows how far the players we can field have sunk. A mixed bag. Some good work from some of the young lads, and also Menzies, L'Estrange tried, but also much disinterest and a lot of woeful, abysmal tackling. And for 75% of the game amateurish, disinterested, woeful attempts to break down a defence that, let's face it, isn't very good.
Anyway it's the same old show at Odsal, whoever we play. We manage to spend a lot of the time in the opposition 40, but look utterly clueless as to what to actually do. Then they get it and go the length to score. It's like deja vu all over again. I was just making that point to the bloke who sits next to me when they did it yet again.
There seems to me to be factions in the camp I'm afraid. And if there isn't, or maybe either way, we need a big clear out at the end of the season.
Yes, woeful is the word. And the "spirited fightback" near the end only made it worse. If they can have a go like that for 10 minutes - why not the rest of the match? Woeful. Awful. Woeful.

| Just want the season to end. After so many losses in a row effort matters for little. Pathetic season.

Fourth after playing everyone once. How did that happen?

Fr a spell we decided to put some effort into it, and actuallu run at Salford, and attack in an aggressive, controlled way, with men in support. Whenever we did, they fell away and we put some good points on them.

Playing as a team, I think. From what I heard today, it was before certain people started chinning certain other people, and before factions and divisions developed amongst the ranks. Of curse, this may be bollx, and they may just play as if one half hates the other half by co-incidence, or even design. Who knows?

| It was clear that Langley was carrying an injury today as well and he was at fault for two tries after missing tackles he would usually make in his sleep. He also ended up having to go off injured as well which is worrying.

| Sack McNamara! Oops.. That didn't work did it?
Maybe now people will see that individual errors and performances are attoning for us losing 9 on the bounce rather than the coach.

| Ferocious Advaark, you mention factions / divisions (twice, in fact)
Would you care to elaborate on what you mean?
Have you got good reason to think this, or is it just pure speculation?

| We learnt nothing new today I'm afraid. We still have too many below average players and no leader or chief to take charge. There was some effort in there but some of the tries we conceded were from pathetic attempts at tackling. I think Potter has a no lose situation in many ways, surely we cannot sink much lower than we are right now?
I've criticised Worrincy in the last few weeks but I thought he was one of the players who ran with some purpose this week. He'll probably be remembered for dropping the ball at the end but aside from that he improved his contribution. I just wish he'd do it a little more regularly.
Roll on 2011.

| Non-existent defence. Embarrassing at times. 70 minutes of painful clueless one man rugby, then ten mins of pure class, which as FA said, just makes the rest even worse.
At least that's the season gone now, so just 5 more games to endure before hopefully Potter comes in and clears out some of the garbage.

| Some of the tackling was school boy level, I know it's been a difficult week but they didn't look I interested at the start. Salford looked dodgy when we went to the wings, just a shame we didn't do that often enough.
Addys kicking for touch was a change for the better, we actually got some distance.
I really fear for our attendances as the last ten minutes cannot disguise that dour performance, tbh if I didn't have a season ticket I'd be seriously considering whether I'd go for the rest of the season if that's how we're going to play.

| I was wondering today is the on-field display is a ploy by the Bulls. I don't often have more than a pint of lager at a game but I had several today. I think it helped, I might get there earlier in future and have a few more!!

| For long periods we were camped in the opposition quarter but seemed to be bereft of ideas of how to break them down, unless it involved charges by the forwards or easily predictable set moves.
We rarely asked enough questions of the Salford defence and looked badly in need of a playmaker. Unfortunately the only player capable of sorting this out is in Australia. Occasionally we put something together, Addy's kick for Menzies was great but it was a rarity.
I thought we got bullied in the forwards and in defence we dropped off tackles. Salford critically were far more clinical and seemed to be able to score whenever they got a chance, which wasn't often. Our opening 10mins was utterly awful (as is par for the course lately). Then we more or less dominated possession and position without really looking like scoring. We really lack creativity and finishing power.
At points it was as if the players seemed to just be going through the motions. There was a hush in the stadium and it was a really demoralising experience. Then in the last 10 mins we seemed to wake up but it was far too late. We'd already spent the previous 30mins looking less than ar5ed.
The worrying thing is I really can't see where another win is coming from this season. It's no good playing for the odd 10mins here or there. But we don;t seem to manage to play to a consistent high level.

| Same old same old.
Pathetically hopeless early doors, shipped in two disgraceful tries in first few mins. How the HELL did we fail to tackle anyone on that run from our own in -goal area?
Then the usual middle of the game trying to stem the tide. Loads of time camped in their half and near their line...clueless almost every time YET AGAIN. At leas Finnegan and Addy looked good and interested. And, YET AGAIN, after ages getting nowhere, they get the ball and just make it look so easy. Defence? Tackling? Wozzat? 10-30, twelve to go and its season over.
Then - yet again - the comeback, when we actually start to look good and maybe even a team again. Three quick tries and the miracle is on.
And we had plenty of opportunity to steal it right at the end. But managed to find a way of not doing so.
Bloody sodding Groundhog day. HOW many times this season??? Season's end, methinks.
In fact, had the song by Marillion of that name going through my head on the way back. If was less busy, think I'd do a parody of the lyrics for Bulls. Start with maybe:
Getting close to seasons end
I heard somebody say
That Bulls might never win again
In Bradford...
Hard to see where any more wins this season are coming from unless we get some bodies back and something changes dramatically.

| At times when we had position and possession we looked so clueless with the ball. Simple moves were poorly executed and we were so predictable. I recognise that we don't have regular playmakers out there but sometimes the standard of our dummy runners and passing was just awful.
Around the ruck we look ok, usually with L'Strange on. Less so with Godwin on. But once the ball goes past first receiver it's not slick enough and too easy to defend against. You know what's coming each time.

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere or not, but from what I've heard, he sadly lost his father on Thursday - quite sudden and unexpected by all accounts. Very sad news - apparently his Dad was only 50. RIP.

Perhaps more importantly we need to take all our eggs out of the one basket for next year. Without Orford we're too predictable to defend against, we desperately need to recruit a stand off for next year. Kearney isn't the answer and neither is Sykes. If we lose Ox again next year we'll be in the same boat, regardless of who is coaching from the sidelines.

It is "rumours", I suppose, but comes from a pretty reliable source, who told me a full and sorry tale which, if half true, explains a lot of why we suddenly have seemingly become a team that doesn't play as one. The rumour includes that we will have to add a scrum half to our squad as we will be one light in that department. Though I couldn't possibly say who or why.
Then again, if the rumours are untrue, and that this really is the best team effort we can do, then lord help us, from that perspective I even hope there is some truth in it all.
Oh, and the same guy also told me about Dave Halley's tragic loss, so seemingly has some info that not many had, from somewhere. I am desperately sorry for Halley, though I don't think he would have made any difference today and Finnigan took his chance well and looks a decent prospect though may wonder what he's let himself in for.
